For my daughters 18th Birthday/High School Graduation we are trying to plan a trip to WDW with 3 of her friends. My DH and I will be accompanying them (2 of the friends are minors). Initially she wanted to camp at FW but when we decided on summer for the trip we've all changed our minds. Since I will be covering the cost and since 2 rooms will be needed I'm looking for advice on best bets.

Currently I have it narrowed down to 2 rooms at All Star Music or 2 rooms at Coronado Springs. All Star Music is the cheapest option for the Values and Coronado is the cheapest moderate option. (I know there is construction at Coronado.)

A little info... DD wants to bring her 3 best friends. 1 girl and 2 guys. The girls would stay with my DH and I and the boys would get their own room (hopefully connecting or at least adjoining). DD likes her own space when sleeping so even though she is very close with her friend she will probably bring a twin air mattress. This rules out Pop Century in my opinion because the renovated rooms don't seem to leave much floor space when the bed is down. I know a moderate resort might give us a little extra space but don't know that the slightly larger room justifies the extra cost. We won't be in the rooms much, just sleeping and showering mainly. We will use the resort pool a few times.

Has anyone done a trip like this and can you offer any advice on the best place to stay? Thanks!

Have you considered getting an All Star Music Family Suite? That would eliminate the need to request connecting rooms (as it's all one room). It gives you a queen in one room (which the boys could share) and four sleeping spaces in the living room so you wouldn't need an air mattress. I don't think it would cost that much more than 2 standard rooms.

My DD did her graduation trip with friend to CSR. It was perfect. They loved the pool, being a more mature one but still fun. We opted for Ranchos because it was more themed and felt more special. I would stay back in the room some evenings and they would go to one of the pools or sit in the hot tub. Plenty of eats options there they could grab a bite if they wanted. Transportation there is so good, they could get anywhere fairly quickly.

No regrets, it was a special place to stay and great memory for her and friend.

I wouldn't want to sleep on the suite pullout while the teen boys got the queen bed. The chair bed is pretty comfy but one of the girls would have to be small to fit on the ottoman bed.

Have you considered ASSports? At ASMu they used connecting rooms to create the suites so there are less connecting room there. ASMu is also more straight back than movies or sports so the most remote rooms at music are more remote than movies & sports. At movies 6 out of 10 buildings are preferred while at sports only 4 are so more standard rooms at sports.

I would choose CSR if your budget allows. I know there is construction, however I have not read many reports that guests have been negatively impacted. The resort is nice, the pool is awesome, and there are amenities that are not available in a value.

Have you considered a hotel room in Disney Springs? Ive stayed at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort many times before checking into a Disney hotel.

They have tons of amenities, including an onsite Disney Gift shop and CM for questions, tickets, information etc... Price is usually around $100/night. They have their own shuttles to the park and Disney Springs is a 5 minute walk if you want to pick up transportation there.

They have a full serve and quick serve restaurants. Epcot View rooms. All rooms have balconies. Its really a great place.
I just looked at the second week in July and it is $102 per night....Google a promo code or maybe if you have AAA you can get a few more dollars off.

I really like CSR! The bus system is super easy and fast, so the kids could easily get around the resort and to the parks.

The pool at CSR is great for teens and the food options are good too.

The rooms are larger and to me the resort is more than a moderate, almost deluxe light. There would be room for the air mattress and the new rooms have so much storage.

What’s up with the couple in the bottom left corner? Why are they behind that v shaped barrier?

Your guess is as good as mine! I dont pay attention to things like that, but knowing to the right of them on the patio is the full service bar that you can also order food at, I would hate to be eating at one of the tables and have people randomly moving the loungers up there! Ive never seen it and I stayed there 4 times. I got that photo from the internet.
