So DS has a ped day in Feb. when DH is in big huge meeting. I was thinking of trekking to WDW, but we would only really get one day there and already have a trip in March. So I figure not really worth it.

Then I thought, Toronto! We can take the train, stay downtown and go to the Disney Store (among other things like the CN tower and Hockey Hall of fame).

So, I need a hotel downtown near the metro and hopefully with a fantastic indoor pool. It will be me and DS (6) and DD (2)...

Thanks!

Delta Chelsea is downtown and has a waterslide.
But, I also highly recommend the Sheraton Centre--has an indoor pool too. But, I love that you are connected to PATH which is an underground walkway that leads directly to the Eaton Centre. So, you can trek there without battling the elements. There are subway stations along it too.
And the beds are very comfy.
Sheraton Centre also has a fitness centre, business centre, restaurants and hot tub that I forgot to mention with the pool.

I second the Sheraton Centre. Love it.

I'm sure you will have a great time in Toronto. There is so much to do.

Thanks!

Sounds great and I looked into it, but they are all out of rooms with 2 beds for our weekend. :sad2:

I LOVE the idea of being able to just hop over to the Eaton Centre! :yay:

Any thoughts on the Mariott @ Eaton Centre?

Not overly familiar with downtown hotels but when we do an overnight in TO, we like to check if they have any "package" deals. Such as the Medieval Times or Metro Zoo package. If you go to the website for the attraction you are interested in, they will have a link to Hotels offering the packages.

Sometimes it is a deal....other times we are better off going CAA or other discount.

We've stayed at the Delta. It does require a bit of walking to get around.

The pool has a slide that goes outside the building. Our dd loved it. If I remember correctly, the pool wasn't very big but dd had a great time in it.

You will be there for a short time and I'm sure you won't be spending that much time in the pool.

If your plans to go to TO don't work out - you can always stay at a hotel in downtown Montreal and do some things here.

A few of us Moms stayed downtown one night. "Arrived" on Sat. morning at the hotel (by city bus) and then enjoyed ourselves for Sat and Sun. Took the city bus home on Sunday night. Felt like we had really been away. It was great.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks everyone!

I mentioned it to DS and he asked if we got to go to Ontario Place, and I said it was only open in the summer. He asked if we could wait and go then.

That and it the cost of the Sheraton plus the train, etc. worked out to be the same as going to WDW and staying in a Pirate Room at CBR! I know there is the option to drive, but not sure about the long drive solo...

Thinking now we might rent a condo in Bromont and visit Toronto when Ontario Place is open. Still not sure...
