I have recently come upon an opportunity to go to Italy, the one place that I would do anything to go to. It is with a company that I have already done a program with, but was in the United States. So I am getting a discount seeing as I am an alumni to this company's programs, but it will still cost about 5,000 dollars. The program that I went to a couple of summers ago I loved, but I'm not sure how it will work over seas, and I am concerned about the cost, my mom doesn't have that much money after putting me through high school, and she is looking to buy a new house since we just recently moved out of state and she is also buying me a new computer at the end of the year that will be about 3,000 dollars for my graduation present and then she is taking me to Disney, so my cousin and I can celebrate the end of high school together in the happiest place on earth. So I don't know if I should do this in the summer or wait until colllege to possibly beable to study in Italy for about a month or so.

help please

I will in the summer, but I need to save up to pay for college

a three thousand dollar computer? you could get a decent one for 500, then upgrade a couple hundred dollars into it.

We have a good computer for 1,000.

As Sparx said, why would it be that much?

the computer that I have had for 4 years was 3,000 dollars 4 years ago. And I want a computer with more on it than this one. I'm going to college, I don't just need some computer I need a good computer, one that I can work with for a couple of years with out it dieing. And it helps for it to be a fast computer because i am an impatient person.

3,000 is really really steep for a comp... you should look into alienware.. they have awesome computers in the 1,500 range and are really fast and powerful

what is alienware? and what kind of computers do they have?

they have desktops and laptops... theyre built for gaming, so you can trust the hardware is really stable and high quality.. and theyll build a custom comp for you if you want... just check out their site.. i think its against the rules for me to link you, but just search up alienware on google and click on their site lol

why is it against the rules? but do they have tablets? what kind of software do they use? I mean no offense but I'm just not used to computers costing 1000 dollars. Maybe because I grew up in ct and go to a private school with a bunch of rich kids but i don't know, for some reason I don't trust a computer that is only like 500-1000 dollars

iono, i think they ban advertising products and stuff here lol.. and it depends on each model... i believe most of them run in vista with dual core processors now, and i hear nothing but great things on speed.. theyre graphics cards are amazing.. and like i said, if you dont like the hardware on the premade models, you can always get a customized one with exactly what you want on there... ummm.. whats your current pc? i dont think ive seen many pcs in the $3,000 range lol

well they obviously don't start at 3,000. but once you get everything on them most computers will turn out to be around 3,000 dollars. I have a dell inspiron 600m. and pretty much all the computers I've looked at to get a 4 year waranty, enough memory, and all the software I need will cost about 3,000 dollars believe me I have been looking for a long time.

I have two great Dell computers. I'm sure it was less than $3,000.
So just get a cheaper, still good computer.

I mean, is it more important to get some showy computer you can brag to your friends about, or see a new culture and have a great experience?

Sorry if this comes off as rude, but since you asked for advice, I think you need to sit down and get your priorities in order.

I have yet to see a laptop or a desktop in the 3000 range.
2000, yes.
But not 3000.
