Trip to DL

I just wanted to post a mini-trip report about our recent trip to DL.

As most of you know, we are WDW veterans, have 6 yr old triplets, with the two boys having cerebral palsy. We've always been blown away by the magic shown to us at WDW, and we were not disappointed at DL!

It was great seeing the "original MK", the unique attractions, the DL hotel, DL's Fantasmic, and yes, even DCA. The CM's were wonderful with our kids, and made every special attempt to make it even more magical for my two sons in wheelchairs (one is in a powerchair, and the other uses crutches mostly, but a manual chair for long distances). In the past at WDW, we've used a double stroller and GAC's, but it was easier (less resistance from CM's and other guests) with our wheelchairs.

We took my one son's powerchair, yes on the airplane. I stripped it of all the electronics, and we pleaded with the airline (SunCountry) to take care of it. We had no problems! The airline and the airport personnel were great with the chair and my kids, and we were very much relieved.

My wife and I are convinced that we now have to plan some of our future vacation trips to return to DL!

Just thought I'd share about our great trip,
Wade

Thanks for the report, Wade.
I can't believe your triplets are 6 already. It seems like only a little while ago that you were asking questions to plan your first trip!
