havent been in about a year, im excited to be going once again. from what i understand, the Haunted Holiday should also be up and running by the end of the month of Sept. ?

Any tips and advice for me and my friend who will be visiting disney at the end of this month? would day would be ideal since school is back in session and such. ill be coming to the DIS more often til then for advice ^_^ :cool1:

If you're going for only 1 day, I'd go on Wednesday. That means you don't have the Early Entry crowds (M, T, Th) and you don't have the weekend crowds (F, Sa, Su). I would also recommend Friday if you want to see the nighttime entertainment.

Yes, Haunted Mansion Holiday opens a week from tomorrow and will be running until January. If you haven't been in a year, be sure to run to Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage first thing and ride it. However if it's having technical difficulties (which it does a lot), skip it and try back in the evening. Also check out Pirate's Lair which opened on Tom Sawyer Island. It's way better than the old island.

If you go during the week, crowds shouldn't be an issue, but you still want to ride these in the morning to avoid any lines:
Nemo (try again at park closing if morning isn't successful), Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Matterhorn

Ride these rides during the middle of the day when the crowds are at their "highest" (even though it won't be very much):
Pirates, BTMRR, Pirate's Lair, BLAB, Jungle Cruise, Pooh, IASW

Even though you will be going during off season, try and get there 30 minutes before park opening which would be 9:30.

Also check out Pirate's Lair which opened on Tom Sawyer Island. It's way better than the old island.

I somewhat disagree here, when the fort was open TSI was better than it is now.

Ok. plans have been set. im going on the 29th. saturday. weekdays are a no go due to DGF working 5 days a week and having the weekends off. she works very early in the morning so sunday would not do well. no sleep for her. plus no fantasmic on the weekdays ! and that simply will not do.

Any tips or advice for going on a saturday? And do Vons and the Disney store still sell park hopper tickets in those stores, so we may pick tickets up in advance before we take off and just hand them to the turnstiles and be on our way into the parks ? And how much are 1 day park hoppers anyway? Dont SoCal residents get a discount or something?

Thanks for the advice and tips sof ar. keep it coming, its almost time ^.^

Disney store DOES sell hoppers, not sure about Vons. Crowds are more than weekdays but you'll still have a blast and it's wonderful. Yes, there is a So Cal ticket - that's what you should get as long as you have a SoCAL license!

Some great pics on AOL travel of the cast getting ready with decor. It looks beautiful and some entry pumpkins that I don't remember from last year! Everything I've read says it will be up on the 21st.

Never too late and highly recommended. You may not get all of what you want, but PLEASE make the call and try!!!

Anyone have the number on where i can make reservations for blue bayou? and do they charge my credit card then and there? or when i arrive for my meal.

Darn , DGF is sick and has to make up the hours she missed this weekend. so, we will have to go to DL/CA Next saturday, oct. 6th. any drawbacks or perks to this? will anything be different because of the dates being changed? any info would help. thanks <3:yay:

Oct. 5-7 is Gay Days. I assume it will be pretty crowded. Not to mention that Monday, Oct. 8 is a Federal Holiday, Columbus Day.

Otherwise, HM NBC will be up as well as other Fall/Halloween decorations.

Ok then...not next saturday, but the one AFTER that lol. gaydays, super crowded. bleh. guess my trip is getting a 2 weeks delay til october 13th. and here i was...2 days away.... * cry * ;-;

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I guess you need to update your ticker.
