Trip Started with Jeanne and ended with AC aborted takeoff!

Well it was quite a trip! We landed day before Jeanne and sat out the hurricane at HIFS (which was great to have 3 separate rooms and 3 TVs with 2 antsy kids!). Then we unknowingly broke curfew and moved to BCV for 5 days...first three days were great and then DD got stomach flu which of course I caught the next day! Which left us not in good shape for MNSSHP, but at least we got to experience the atmosphere! Then we were to depart yesterday on AC at 12:15 and arrive home at 3pm...well we were barreling down the runway and just about to liftoff when captain aborted takeoff and hit the brakes - blew all 4 tires - fire engines appeared etc.! Was amazed at how eerily calm it was on the plane (although DD said "Mommy I heard some swear words!"). They flew in another plane from Montreal that didn't depart until 8:30pm and got home after midnight! Feels like we really only had 4 good days out of 10, but we are safe, we had good family time and hey, I wasn't at work! I'll share more details later! Jo

Glad you still have a positive attitude. What a run of bad luck. We also had the flu on our last trip so I know how bummed out you get to finally get there then sit in your hotel room. Plane ride sounds exciting
