Ok. you folks that made it to FW, lets have some feedback for we schmucks (us schmuck's ???) who are stuck here in N IL. Raining and cold.

We were going to leave last Saturday, to take our MH to our place in Polk City for the winter, and hit FW at some point. We probably would be there right now if it weren't for Jeanne.

I am not really complaining when you think what those poor folks around FL and what they are going thru, but I get to whine a little.

We had some damage this time to our place in Polk City, but very minor. Lots of awnings missing from what my neighbors tell me, but basically we did ok. Two hurricane eyes right over our house (Francis and Jeanne).

Coming down in two weeks, and we will visit the Fort then.

So, how is it ???? Crowded ??? Any visible damage ??? Having fun ??? (dumb question, that last one ...).

Just know I am enjoying FW remotely with your help so type slow so I an enjoy it.

Thanks ...

John

I will report back when we get back but you'll probably have gotten a FWfix by then!

As for now--the motorhome is washed and gassed up, the dog has been bathed, I'm doing laundry, gotta hit WalMart tomorrow, tickets and passes are in the Little House, one bike is loaded (2 more and the steps to load) and still have to track down all the bike helmets. Gotta put some dog food in there...

Better start a list!

We just got back and I will write more details this weekend! I need to unpack first! ha! Around Disney there are quiet a few trees down. Lots of trees down at the parks but they were very quick about getting them out of the way. I have a picture from Epcot that I will post soon that is a huge tree on it's side. We saw several Disney signs blown apart. Otherwise inside the "world" life was back to normal Monday morning! We took 4 East and then 95 N home and did not see much more than trees down. Fort Wilderness was closed up to the day we left so I did not get to see what it looked like.

I think Orlando and Disney faired better than other areas. Gas was over $2.00 Sat before the storm.
