Well we are back from a very nice and warm trip to WDW. We were ther 3/18-23 and in fla until 3/26. myself, dh, 8ds,4ds and my parents. We did not let the war stop us but I will say it made me edgy at the beginning. Anways, our trip went well. We stayed at the Marriott World Convention Center which is off site but very close the farthest park was 4 miles think which was Epcot. THe hotel was wonderful, beautiful, nice service and a huge pool with a kiddy pool and slide for kids. A definite suggested hotel.

Tues 3/18 arrival night-We went to Boardwalk and ate at ESPN kids loved the sports theme but dh thought menu very small in choices for food. We did enjoy walking around and catching the entertainment.

Wed. 3/19 we did MK- we started in tommorrowland, got a fast pass to Buzz, did speedway while waiting and got Buzz lightyear auto/picture. Loved the Buzz ride again! Then toon town did barnstormer with oldest son and did mickey and minnie houses then took the train to front again getting many auto/pictures then had lunch at Crystal palace-food good but very loud-last time we did character breakfast there and thought it much calmer. We then split up and did fantasy land with youngest and oldest did fastpass for space mountain with dad. We then watched the 3pm parade which was nice but evening show is nicer with lights. THen did hall of presidents which was impressive but very sad since this was the day the war was starting.-again this park was VERY crowded, the waits weren't too long 20min top or we did a fast pass but we find this park to just be full of sooo many more people meandering around. This is not the fav. for the kids either.

Thurs.3/20 we did AK with character breakfast. Tons of great foods and characters were wonderful although we found donald very rushed probably needed a break soon? We then concentrating on Dinoland since last time we went we didn't get to this part. 8ds rode primeval twirl all by himself very proudly. problem with this ride in I do the tiltawhirl type stuff and dh does rollercoasters but neither of us could do a ride that is both. Son loved it though. DH and 8Ds also loved the dinosaur ride. We enjoyed Tarzan rocks but it doesn't compare to Lion King show. We then did Camp Minnie Mickey and hit the tough to be a bug show on the way over since the wait was only 20min. We then did Lion King show. We again found we like AK as we did last time. In the evening we did some of Epcot for spaceship earth walked right on about 6:45pm and then did a few counties in back before catching the wonderful fireworks.

Fri 3/21 MGM-Rockin roll coaster closed? Drizzle? DH and ds8 did star tours and idiana jones ds 4 and myself and grandparents did Playhouse disney and little mermaid. We loved playhouse but found seating needs to be raised to truly see and enjoy mermaid show. We then checked out Al toys barn and got auto/pictures it started to rain so hung out and ate a pizza planet for over and hour. We has Rese for Hollywood and Vine character meal but kids deperately wanted pizza planet so maybe H & V will win out next time. Anyways after almost 2 hours it was still poring so we headed back to hotel. We will have to hit MGM again next trip. We find MGM to be ok but kind of crazy running back and forth to scheduled shows and disappointed the Beauty and Beast did have a showing until afternoon. After a rest and swim back at hotel we went to Downtown Disney and had a nice dinner on porch at Rainforest cafe, this was nice since our children don't like the noise inside the restaraunt. Checked out the shopping some entertainment etc.

Sat 3/22 Epcot- our favorite park again, I know everyone says its not interesting to kids but my children love the relaxing pace I think. We did Body Wars and the show that explores the body of a 12yr old boy and all the other attraction in that pavillion forget what its called. We then moved to the world showcase going counter clockwise. For some reason we always go clockwise starting backwards made us see more I guess since you get tired towards the end each time. Loved the O-Canada show since I had been there a few months ago. We at Fish and Chips in England a saw a few comedy street shows. Meandering through France and caught Alladin and Jasmine in Morocco. Our 4 year old loved the Morocan music. We also did some of the kids crafts and then traveling through most of the other countries. We all love this park best.

The weather was a bit steamy... high 80's low 90's and very humid.

In the future I had planned to many character meals I think 2 is enough and I think maybe we will do breakfast meals for the calmer atmoshere. This time I planned out the start of our days and left it for spontaneous decision for later in the day/evening this left us debating what to do with each night. I planned the evening last time and think I will again next time. Before we left I took my 4yr to the dr for a cold/sinus infection and she gave RX to wait and see how he is by the time I decided he definitely needed it and found a RX that was open the WDW part of trip was over next time I will pay my copay and fill it at home even if I don't need it. When we got to relatives house I filled it and he was better in like 6hrs. I feel guilty that he didn't enjoy the trip enough because of not feeling to hot. Guess there is no mother of the year award this time.

As for the calmer meals and my kids liking Epcot don't get me wrong I have two very active boys they aren't the calmer type at all but I guess that why they need the calmer meals and parks the crowds and noises just wire them up even more.

Can't wait to plan the next trip-ds will be in 4th grade next year so maybe we will have to deal with feb. vac. crowds next time.

Thanks to everyone for all there wonderful tips you helped me to plan a wonderfully magical family time.
