So I've been thinking and I may do a trip report (kind of) this time. Always been keen and it may help me remember what I've done when I get back home. So I'll see what happens but the aim is to do a daily update, nothing too in depth, but enough to let everyone know what's happening. That's the aim, anyway!!

I love live trip reports and loved doing one to when we last went :-) look forward to following

One hour left at work and then that's me done for two weeks. That's always such a sweet feeling!! The plan for tonight is fish and chips for dinner (less washing up and it's classic English!) and then hopefully an earlyish night. Usually we have trouble sleeping. We're both like a couple of excited kids the night before, but then, who isn't??

My dog is the polar opposite to your cat, he sees our cases and knows he's going on holiday to a dog sitter who has several dogs for him to play with, he loves it :)

Have a great trip. This is a fab time to go and will be when I go post kids and school holiday restrictions :)

We've arrived!! Had a relatively good flight with ba. Nothing too uncomfortable. We flew with friends who always hire a car so this made a nice change, being able to drive out own way to the hotel. Stopped off at Walmart on the way to stock up on snacks. This was great and saved us more than a few dollars.

Checked into the dolphin at about 7pm. By the time we'd showered changed and unpacked it was nearly 9, so we headed out to boardwalk for some food. As we left the hotel we caught the fantastic fireworks which was totally unexpected. It was a lovely surprise.

We decided on not doing a table service meal as we were too worn out so just grabbed a few snacks from one of the kiosks. We shared a pulled pork sandwich, chilli cheese fries and buffalo wings. All very tasty!

As we ate, the illuminations fireworks were going off across the lake, so this was also a really lovely way to spend the first night. We're now back in the hotel room, but I have the munchies so I'm thinking of going to one of the late night food courts at the dolphin for an ice cream!!

Can't wait for MK tomorrow. Aiming to get there for 8.30 to catch the opening show. We'll see how sleep goes first!

Sounds like you had a great evening :)

Good start to your hols. Loving all the snacks....do you have a toaster for your pop tarts?

Looking forward to your next instalment.:goodvibes
