I ran across this remarkable video of Disneyland from a NYTimes link this morning. The Dad that made it in 1956 (with editing and sound added in the 90's) died about 6 weeks ago at 91.

It's a part of the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

It may be the original Disneyland trip report.

If you look at the young guy passing out park brochures around the 20:22 mark in the lower right hand corner in the pink shirt and top hat and vest, that's Steve Martin. He saw this film and realized it was himself. He worked as a CM at Disneyland from '56 to '58 or so.

All the fun that can be had with a video recorded. Too bad they weren't able to do star swipes or fade in and outs back then. Best park was the old Jungle Cruise.

What an incredible video!! Thanks so much for sharing. Listening to the narration was priceless.
