Ok, first off I LOVE reading all these trip reports! It gets me so excited about our up coming trip the first of May. But I have to say this and I am sure alot of people agree with me on this one but just won't post it....
GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE READING TRIP REPORTS FOR WEEKS THAT STILL ARE NOT FINISHED! Or that are never finished and are good ones and people start to write them and don't get around to finishing them! Or people that write one day and a week later write the next day ect ect..... I am writing this with a smile on my face, but honestly I get into these reports and it sucks waiting forever to get the whole report come on people make all us die hard report readers happy and get on with it please!!! Oh and if lillyGator is reading this I have read 2 of your reports and niether one has ever been finished to the end and I really enjoy your trip reports with the pics and all!!!! FINISH them please LIlly!!

I do not know if you read my TR but let me say...it takes a long time to write, edit, download and post and edit pics....seriously.....

not to mention my other posts on the DIS I have to keep up with and usually I can only write for 20 or 30 mins uninterrupted....I try to post a part every two days or so and understand what you mean about some that do not get to it for weeks...it is just more involved than it seems!!

i agree! cause when something is posted i have to go back a bit to try to remember where it was left off. LOL!

Besides if people rush them, they'll be full of error and probably won't be as good and contain less jokes.

Yes I read your report! Very good If I may say so I have pretty much read all them on here!! I don't mind when its a few days inbetween, I am talking about the ones that they post one day then you don't see anything else for a week or so,or the people that start them ( you know who you all are!) and then never finish them after they sink ya into wanting more! Those ones bug me because then I have to go back and read it all over again, as I have two kids and you know how it is after you have children you lose your memory LOL so I forget what I read to begin with hehe. I know it takes alot of time I have done them before for my mexico trips.It really is the ones that drag out the OP starts it comes on and replies to people but never continues the actual report for weeks.

I didn't write this thread to be mean to anyone or insult , or insinuate anything.... I wrote it because I am addicted to trip reports and just want to finish them all I have started, but can't because ppl keep teasing me with a post here and there pretty much on every TR I am reading

I did not do this post to insult anyone, so the comment to give them a break was not called for I did it as a friendly post in a joking way to get the Diser's to keep writing those reports as some have totaly not gone back to finishing them. Taking your time is fine it is when they go on and on for pages with comments but every week or so the new installment happens. Like I said you forget what you read in the first place! I have enjoyed every TR I have read on here even the to the point ones that are one post, they all are great thats why I want MORE!!!

I don't understand when people post trip reports from like six months ago. I don't get it. But as someone already mentioned they post on their own time so I have to respect that ... suppose it's better than posting one day's worth then waiting six months to post the rest.

Wow calling them out. LOL. Everyone has there reasons as to posting frequency and why they wait. I would tell you mine but I would hate to give away the part of my TR ending. Also I agree with post regarding taking time to write jokes and such. These TRs are a labor of love and as such take time.

LOL thats my only beef, and I say it tongue in cheek. I took your post the same way as you intended. As just having fun! Because really, how bad is it to have to reread the last Princess Aurora day , LOL! Actually truth be told, my true beef is when its updated but there is no indicationg of it, kwim? I see for example zzub has put 'epilogue page so and so..." in the edited title and i LOVE that. some of the reports are so popular, that there are so many comments to read thru before finding the update!

Oh well. c'est la vie. Can't please everyone all of the time (and some people u just can't please at all! LOL)

Guilty. Except it was like 11 months ago.

I don't know what to tell you except that

1. It might take some people a while to work up the nerve to "put it out there."

2. For some, maybe they never dreamed they could do it, until somebody encouraged them.

3. Some might have such strong, wonderful memories from their trip that they are moved to share, even if they were a while ago.

I think that many TR posters start out doing it just for themselves, to record and preserve the memories. I know I did. In which case, it shouldn't really matter when the trip was. I might write one about my first trip when I was 7. But nobody would have to read it, if they weren't interested.

I'm just sayin'.

Me too.....I love reading them all.....from the airport to the shuttle or limo or rental.......to the hotels either on or off site......and then to the parks and best of all........F O O D........I love to see where you all ate and if you liked it and would you go back again.......you know regular stuff like that......

Ok, For me I'll say Sorry that I haven't finished the last day of the trip report from the beginning of March, but I do have a life . I know it may not seem like it when we go to Disney 3-4 times a year, but there's a pesky little thing called work that we have to do to pay for those trips to WDW and we don't drink at home like we do at the World so there's only certain times that the "creative juices" so to speak are flowing!

And I can't handle the pressure . Like someone else mentioned, it takes a long time to produce a quality trip report. Create them in "Word", edit, come up with funny phrases, remember details after too many liver hardening drinks....
some times I think I'll go trying to satisfy my fans.

I must admit.. not once.. but twice I started a trip report and never finished... mostly because I thought noone was interested... and then when I found out that was not the case... because I was no longer interested!! LOL!!! No..really.. it's because I just plain forgot what I did... I don't take any notes... and I just couldn't remember what I did from where I left off... I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading trip reports.. and I will try and write a complete one for my next upcoming solo trip... but this time I will write it in it's entirety BEFORE I post it up here for the Disworld to get all hyped up about! LOL!! So.. a huge SORRY to anyone who really cares.. (which I don't think is anyone).. but I have to tell you.. it's gonna be hard to live up to these GREAT trip reports out there now.... OY!!!

Yeah, those slackers!!!

Oh wait, I still have four days of mine to write!

I really want to start typing up more of it while I'm there, since it's a lot harder a month or so later when everything isn't as fresh in your mind, but each part of the report (and each day usually has at least 2 parts) takes me about 8 hours by the time you add up sorting through photos, resizing them, uploading, sorting through reciepts and notes to figure out what I did that day, and writing!

But you have an excuse because you go to Disney wayyyy to much to keep track of the trips to finish Don't think I have started your's yet I will have to look and see, if not I will read it tonight! EDIT**** Checked yup I have been reading your's laughed my butt off about being cold not bringing anything and having to buy it each time! Sounds like me, purposely done so I can shop and get something new hehehe

I too am a diehard trip report reader and when I get involved in one & it's not finished or I can't find the beginning when they've posted day 4 (or whatever day) on a separate post, it does get frustrating trying to find the first 3 days.

I empathize that they have lives as we all do and it takes alot of effort esp if pics are posted but my suggestion would be to not post until it's finished. (just a suggestion, don't hang me )

I wish everyone could write like my fav ThumpersTara (you rock girl!! ) - not too long, not filled with extra stuff that doesn't pertain to the trip & keeps you anxious for more (there are many many more out there I love but she's my favorite). I love the idea everyone seems to be taking about adding to the title where the new installment is - keep it up guys!
