Hit the highway and make it off the Island in no time. In fact the whole drive down was great. I made it to Savannah Georgia and decided it was time to stop for the night. Stayed at a Fairfield Inn, would not stay there again, it wasn't the cleanest of places.
Next morning we were in Orlando, and made a reservation for one night at Cypress Harbour, checking into Downtown Disney Courtyard the next day.
Cypress Harbour was wonderful, beautiful, and we will definatly stay there in the future. I quickly do what little laundry we have, knowing between myself and four kids it will pile up fast. Next morning we checkout and head over to the Courtyard.
We get there and the rooms are'nt ready. So I ask where I can get a manicure and pedicure and they point me in the direction of Wyndham Palms. I luck out and they take me right away. I give my son money to take the younger ones to eat. I get a wonderful manicure and pedicure, it was something I had schedualed for the evening before I left, but then the blackout happened, so now I am happy.Back to the hotel we go.
For some reason our rooms took forever to get ready. So we hang out and relax. My friend and her son are schedualed to fly in around 6:30. 5:00 and my rooms are still not ready! We sit for the managers reception, my daughter and son loved the Parrot!
Finally the rooms are ready, and a short time later my friend arrives. The kids hit the pool right away.
The next day we go to Downtown Disney. We go to Seaworld on Tues. We go to DTD and the three older boys go to DisneyQuest on Wed. On Thursday we head over to the outlets, Skull Kingdom and Sky Venture. Fri. we checkout and head to Universal to check into PBH!

Glad things got better as the days progressed. It sounds like you all had alot of fun!!!

Can't wait to read the rest!!!

Sounds like a great trip so far! Is Cypress Harbour near Disney? What did you think of Skull Kingdom and Sky Venture? Cant wait to hear how your Portofino experience was! Thanks for writing a report.

Cypress Harbour is near Sea World, it is one of the Marriott timeshare places.
I didn't go through Skull Kingdom, but my 14 year old and his friend (we lovingly refer to him as our other son) did. Since it was day time they tone it down so younger kids can go through. Due to the fact that another family was there that wanted it kicked up to be scary and so did my kids the people oblidged. My kids said it was ok, kind of hocky. My son was in a bad mood, so he wasn't going to admit he liked it even if he did.
My 5 year old, 11 year old, my other son (14) and myself did Sky Venture. My grump and my friend didn't. We all loved it! I can't wait to go back and do it again, the only complaint I have is that it didn't last longer!
