Saturday and Sunday were days of rest we had earned.
Also visited with my Brother and sis-in-law at Pop century.
This was the start of my Birthday celebration...
Monday: Hiya Mickey...took the bus to Animal Kingdom.
Caught the Safari ride first. The cast member reconized my B'day button and announced that I was celebrating my 21st bday today. Oh well to be 21 again ( I guess that is an on going joke with them as I heard it several times)
Walked the trail and watched this wacky Gorilla...he jumped in the water and sat there like he was taking a nice bath. I thought they didn't like the water? Well this guy sure did.
We then went to watch Lion King which is always good.
Got some great photos with Mickey, minnie, goofy, pluto and a surprise visit by Daisy.
Went over to catch Tarzan and caught a glimpse of the new Everest ride construction. Looks like another great ride in process.
We decided to give Kali rapids a try.....mistake!
Of course I was sitting in the one seat that would get drenced!
I was wet the rest of the day and I wore a poncho too. It did cool me off a lot.
Rode dinosaur and came out with a terrible back ache.
Had it til we left and still have it.
We watched the parade (got a great photo with Mickey and Minnie on the way out too) and took off for another look at Fantasmic.
Back to Pop.
Tuesday: Back to MGM and caught things we had missed or wanted to see again. Cast members gave me free desserts and ice cream (got a call from Goofy at the back lot tour too) and I even had one cast member give me her special 33rd birthday button. Sure pays to wear those Bday buttons!
Off to Epcot to catch the food and wine festival and watch Illuminations. Not disappointed in either I must say.
Back to Pop.
Wednesday: My Birthday....Magic Kingdom all day of course.
Most rides were still no wait. We took our time and walked around until time for our lunch at Crystal palace, one of our favorites. Great Bday fun with Pooh and friends.
Caught the afternoon parade.
Picked out our seat for viewing fireworks.
We enjoyed them the second time as much as the first.
This time Tinkerbell flew down!
Back to Pop for the last time.
