Our trip continued with dinner at 8:30 in Parrot Cay. The food was great . I had a mixed grill which was excellent. I neglected to mention we started out Saturday night in Animators Palate (my friend requested the APLAPLA rotation and we got it. She had to call a few times before getting someone to do it) The show was very low key to what we have seen in the past and the food was somewhat disappointing in that restaurant.
Our servers were Alvin (last week before going home to wife and 4 children) and Darius. We found Darius to be very personable! Alvin on the other hand was okay the first night but became more distracted and terse as the cruise went on. We discussed it with him but it didn't change anything. We didn't go to the head server though, he later told us that he had had several complaints against him, but I digress...
Monday morning again 5 am wakeup call from the howlers next door.To make matters worse they tried to quiet the baby by giving him/her a MARACA... you know the things you shake and are very loud especially when banged by baby against the adjoining door!!! I again staggered to GS and while I got lots of sympathy I was told at that point that they would be happy to move us to deck 2.
We've only had a verandah one other time and since it was a splurge we didn't want to lose. I proceeded back to my room and got my daughter who couldn't get back to sleep and we went to the pool. The weather was not great though. Kind of a cloudy day at sea we hung out for a few hours hoping the sun would break through, but it never did. I then had to get ready for brunch at 10:30 so I scooted her off the to club, my husband already had our son in the club so we connected with our friends and headed up to Palo! I asked for Kristoff and Voila we got him! We loved him the last cruise! We thoroughly enjoyed brunch as expected!
I then went back to the room to take a nap as I had missed out on some sleep. Guess what happened as soon as I laid down and settled in, yes you guessed it. The screamers came back to the room and started screaming. These were not usual children who only cry/scream occasionally it was constant. I don't know how the parents dealt with it but I certainly didn't want it to ruin my trip! So I decided to help myself get some sleep
get this... I took a roll of toilet paper and a fork and I shoved it in the cracks all the way around the door. I almost used the whole roll!! I pushed a towel under the door as well for good measure. Okay more on all this later!
