Hi all - we're here! (Written by heidispidi on Aust's laptop). It's very late so just a quick update, I wrote a little in my other trip report but I think you guys may be more interested than other people on these boards?

Flight was crap, but at least we left a day early so could spend a day doing not much at all, before falling asleep at 7pm! Up early and in the park for MM right when the parks actually opened :lmao: Went on many rides (Splash and Space Mts, Cal Screamin', Indiana Jones, POC etc etc) AND got to go shopping as Tanya planned our day meticulously! She can list the order of our rides tomorrow, too late now.

Loving it here. But have to go to bed now (it's 11:45pm and she's told me I have to be up at 6am for MM!). More later.

Sounds like you had a busy day sorry to hear the flight was crap.

Cant wait to her more about your holiday:banana:

Flight (besides all the stuffing around of getting offloaded/told to go via Brisbane etc) - crappy food (quality and quantity), booked kid's meal not put on board (not just ours, the people behind too), some of the flight attendants were good but others not, the plane was very shabby (old 747 instead of new A380, on the upside the engines stayed intact the entire flight so shouldn't complain too much), uncomfortable seats, No SLEEP!!, the fact they turn the lights on and give you breakfast at the equivalent of 1am Sydney time! And the flight was the most expensive out of all the carriers. I went Qantas 3 years ago to LA and they have definitely gone downhill since then.

That really sucks about the crappy flights. Although it sounds like you guys already have gotten a heap of stuff done! Looking forward to hearing more. I :lovestruc trip reports!

Oh dear, we are flying Qantas :scared1: Really had no choice because we had saved enough FF points for two tickets but I'm worried now! We're not on a 747 or an A380 though - we are on little A320's so not sure how that will be??

Don't you just love airlines! V 'forgot' our kids meals on our return flight. When we few Qantas we ordered a toddler meal for our 18 month old. He got half a tomato covered in mushrooms for his breakfast.

Looking forward to hearing what you got up to today!

We're going to do a big update tomorrow night, too tired now! It's Sunday night and it feels like the never ending weekend. Just saw Fantasmic (from the reserved dessert box viewing area )and fireworks and they were great. Off to Universal tomorrow, DL closes at 8pm so we'll be able to be back at the hotel to update then.

sorry to hear about the mix up in regards to your meals

I hope you are having heaps of fun in the land of Disney.

Have a fantastic day at universal studios

Sorry you didn't have a great trip there.

Enjoy and I look forward to reading more of your trip report.

Wow ! A crew can make or break a flight - we went QANTAs and loved it - had a great crew with wonderful service - kids loved the Splices for desert !

Well, I arrived home this morning (Heidi and daughter have gone on to Hawaii) and no trip report yet! I did plan on doing it at the end of each day but we were too tired/busy. Will do it over the next few days.

The flight home was better, a much better crew and meals and I even managed to sleep a bit which made all the difference.

And forgot to say, I did the Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour on Saturday and met another DIS'er, Luisa who was also on the tour!

Glad you made it home ok and the flight was better. :goodvibes Looking forward to hearing all about your trip, especially the GCH!

Hi Aust! Glad to hear all went well with the trip home! Was lovely to meet you and am looking forward to the completed trip report.
Oh and for everyone else, the tour was great and highly recommended.

Glad you're home safely and I hope the trip was as smooth as Creamed Canned Corn! :goodvibes
