This is my first post and I'd thought I'd share my Disneyland experience of a few years ago.
My daughter was 6 at the time and when we told her that for her birthday we were going to take her to Disneyland she immediately ran to her room and packed her swimsuits and was ready to go!
I went throught the travel agent at work and decided on using the shuttle from Orange County airport to the Disneyland hotel. The flight went fine (thanks Alaska) and after we got our bags I proceeded to the window to get the bus. The rather annoyed counter person grunted and pointed to the line next to me. The bus arrived, the driver got out and asked the first person which hotel, grabbed his bags and literally through them into the bus. When it was my turn after seeing this I was a little concerned but when I said Disneyland Hotel he carefully picked up my bags, gently put them in a different compartment and politely asked us to board the bus. Upon arriving at the hotel I got behind a lady who read the riot act to the entire hotel staff and shared her displeasure with all around. When it was my turn to check in the CM looked me up on the computer, apologized that the room wasn't ready (we were really early) and said she had a packet for me. The packet contained not only our passes to the park but all sorts of other coupons, discounts and fun stuff.
Two days into the trip we had forgotten to arrange the bus to San Diego and the zoo. I went up to the desk, told them my problem and also said I doubted anything could be done and the concergie smiled, picked up the phone, called the bus company and said THE DISNEYLAND HOTEL has a pickup. Needless to say the trip was a huge success and let me tell you...THE MOUSE ROARS! Everytime we had a question all we had to do was tell the mouse and angelic voices and heavenly lights shown down and all was right!
Do yourself a favor...when going to Disneyland stay at the Disneyland Hotel.
