Left Athens 11am Monday in glorious sunshine- as we approached Orley the skies blackened and we had the most rough descent I've ever experienced- I think it makes TOT seem like a walk in the Park!
Finally arrived at the Cheyenne at 3.15- what fantastic theming! Booked all our meals at the info desk (couldn't get into Walt's at all so be warned- if there's somewhere you really want to eat, book it well before you go!)
Dressed DS in several layers of clothes and his pirate outfit and headed for the Park.
We arrived in the Town Square just in time to see the Parade! Even with not so magical weather it was wonderful and I still can't get the music out of my head! My only problem was where to look- at the parade or my son -his face full of sheer delight!
Afterwards we headed to the POC (walked straight on) which we all thought was superb- so we stayed on and did it again! Then it was to the Blue Lagoon. It was the most expensive meal of our trip but we really really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great you really felt you were somewhere tropical. The CM looking after us was spot on , the meal was good and the desserts divine (flaming Creme Brlulee and roasted Banana with Rum! ) After we had to go on the ride again and then it was time to make our way out of the Park.
As we were getting into the Town square again we noticed Prince John so DS got his autograph and also Mr Smee- who on seeing DS dressed as a pirate made a big fuss of him and pulled him to the front on the queue! The finally cherry was seeing Mickey standing up at the station waving goodbye.

Lovely first day. I love multiple rides on POTC.:goodvibes
Looking forward to more.

I like the idea of queuing to see characters, I was of the understanding that at DLP it was more of a free for all scrum.

Enjoyed the TR, looking forward to your further adventures

Sounds like a fun 1st day.

What a great start :goodvibes I too love the way Mickey waves goodbye. ::MickeyMo

There are official queues in both parks and the Studios usually has smaller queues. :thumbsup2
