Day 2

We all saddled up with coffee and a muffin from the Boardwalk Bakery and walked thru EPCOT to the monorail for a day at Magic Kingdom. Once we quickly knocked out the must do rides of Lilo & Stitch (personally I like the Alien version better), Space Mountain and Splash Mountain Falls we had a quick but filling lunch at Pinocchio’s Village Haus.

There was one thing that I have wanted to do but never had the courage to in the past but I finally resolved myself to head to the Barber shop and get a quick trim with a little glitter on the side. When I told them I wanted the full treatment I thought I was going to have the 3 ladies that were cutting hair fighting over who was going to get to have their way with a thirty-one year old kids hair. I walked out with green hair with sprinkles on top and a rather nice black Mickey with sprinkles on the back of my head. I think next time we go back I will get them to stop with the black Mickey with no sprinkles. I did get a few slide glances throughout the day but how often can you get away with doing that in “normal” society.

Everything that I have read about Mission Space has been true, what a fun simulation. None of the wives wanted to join the guys on this ride so we waved bye to them as we walked into the newest addition to EPCOT and were whisked off on a wonderful adventure.

At 6PM we began making our way back to the Polynesian for our 7PM PS at ‘Ohana. After a very brief wait we were seated at a pretty good table where we had a partially obstructed view of Wishes which made for a fantastic finish to a fun day.

We parted ways once again in the Boardwalk lobby with the promise we would meet at 8:45 the next morning.

Did they move Mission Space? It was in Epcot when I was there lat year.

Glad to hear your having a good trip so far, what did you think of O'hana's?
We have ressies there in April. just courious.

Thanks and enjoy the rest of your trip :wave2:

It was a lot of fun. We were there with 6 adults and didn't really participate with the contests but we got our share of laughs out of the kids doing their thing.

The food was really good for what it was. The biggest draw back is on the beef which when severed was anywhere from Medium Rare (the only way a piece of beef should be served) to Well Done. The pork wasn't as bad and the shrimp were really good. The seasonings on all of the meats were very nice. Don't forget that if you want more of the salads/appetizers that they bring out just ask and they will bring you whatever you need.

The view of Wishes at the Magic Kingdom was pretty good from where we were sitting. We against the far left wall toward the back as you walk in so missed most of the far left fireworks and some of the higher explosions were cut off as well.

We will definitely go back to 'Ohanas in the future but we might skip it for a couple of trips.
