Credit goes to DD again for the photos!
I was woken ay 6.30am by our alarm; we got up, dressed and headed off to breakfast shortly after 7am. Breakfast was a good selection I felt. We didn’t bother with the cereals, etc but tucked into bread, cheese, etc. Tried a hard-boiled egg but they tasted like they had been pickled or something, so we decided we wouldn’t bother with them again. We were too anxious to get off to the park so we didn’t bother with hot drinks, just stuck to the fruit juice.
We took the shuttle up to the park, arriving there soon after 8.30am I’d say. We managed to cram in Pinocchio, Peter Pan and the Carousel without queuing hardly at all! We then wandered over to Discoveryland to see what was open there, and discovered Buzz… Ooooh, a new ride we had never tried before as it wasn’t open in March 2006, there was only a short queue too so we gave it a try.. It jumped straight into the short list of favourites!!! I managed to score 17900 and Kimbee 7200 on our first go, this would be the only time I would beat her though.
It was now nearing 10am and we had planned to be in the Studios when they opened, so we headed off there. We were keen to do the Backlot Tour again as we had really enjoyed it last time, we were walking in that direction when Kimbee squealed ‘Chicken Little’. He is my hero and last time he ran off as soon as we joined the queue, Backlot Tour on hold we headed right over to where he was! Luckily there were very few people there, so I managed to get my photo taken with him, he was as cute as I remembered too.
Then we went for the Backlot Tour queue and really didn’t have to wait too long. Afterwards we looked round the shops before joining the queue for Moteurs Stunt Show, wishing we had picked up a snack on the way through. As luck would have it we noticed after we were seated that there was a stall selling popcorn, water and cola, so I nipped down and bought some of that. Neither of us wanted to eat too much anyway, as we had our Princess meal booked for 2.30pm. Straight after the stunt show, which we very much enjoyed again:
We dashed back to Disneyland Park as we decided we had seen enough of the Studios.. I would still like to see Animagique some time though, maybe one for our next visit?
Back in the park we grabbed fast pass tickets for BTM (7.10pm) and took a slow walk over to Auberge de Cendrillon, stopping to walk through the Aladdin thing on the way. We arrived at the restaurant five minutes early and were told to wait. Before were taken through we were asked if we were aware of the new menu, we were. A review of our meal can be read here
DD was delighted to see Belle during our meal:
After our meal we headed off to PM, knowing that even if there was a long queue we wouldn’t have to wait too long. Then we went over to POTC and queued for quite some time, it’s quite claustrophobic queuing for that ride and we agreed that we would avoid waiting so long in future. Then we did the Story Book ride again as the queue for that always seems to move quite quickly, squeezed in a little shopping before it was time for BTM. We fancied some chips then, the queue for Caseys did not look that bad, but we waited ages and ages for just a bag of chips!
We did a little more shopping then headed back to the hotel, feeling like our feet were going to drop off!
