GIVE KIDS THE WORLD VILLAGE
One of the stops on our WDW itinerary is a place called Give Kids The World Village. If you listen to the DISUnplugged Podcast, you may have heard about this magical place. If you haven't, here's a little information ...
What is Give Kids The World?
Give Kids The World is a non-profit organization that exists only to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the Central Florida attractions, and to enjoy the magic of Give Kids The World Village for as long as there is a need.
100,000 children have had their dream come true at Give Kids The World. No child in need has ever been turned away and no child ever will. Give Kids The World is a place where families find joy, laughter, serenity, and a lifetime of memories. Through the tireless support of volunteers, employees and generous partners, Give Kids The World dedicates each and every day to these special families.
For more information on Give Kids The World, please visit their website HERE.
Last year, we attended DISapalooza (seminars with Marty Sklar and Lee Cockerell and the Toy Story Mania Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios). During this great weekend, a fellow DISer organized a donation drive for Give Kids The World. Bill and I felt very rewarded by donating to this great cause. This year, we have included our children in the donation efforts.
I got approval from Will and Emily's School Director (they attend a Charter School) to let them do a donation drive at school where the items will go to Give Kids The World. While in Florida, we will bring the items to Give Kids The World Village. I know this will be a great learning experience for our children to give back to others in need.
Wish us luck on the donation drive!
Jennifer

Congratulations on the upcoming newest addition to your family.
Our third child just transitioned into the family nicely. I am very excited for you! Once we had child #3, we started driving to Florida. We ran the numbers and it is more economical to drive (for us). However, now that the kids are getting older, we may start flying again next year. I know Bill (DH) will be relieved because he does most (Okay, ALL.
) of the driving to Florida. We flew just Bill, DS5 and I this past December to WDW without the other kids
) It was so nice to be there in two and half hours.
Our countdown chain is getting shorter! If you don't have one, I highly recommend making one. It is a great project for the kids. Also, it is a great visual thing for DS5. Before the chain, I would get the question, "When are we going to Disney World?" Now, I can say, "Just look at the chain!"
It's the company that matters ...
Thank you for the Anniversary well wishes. Sorry so late to respond. I haven't been online that much lately.

Bill got me some magnetic paper last night. I'll post some pics when I get them printed.
Also, Bill and I are having a romantic Date Night at Yachtsman's one night.
