Just got back from first trip to BCV, usually stay at OKW.

First off, loved it! BCV is a hit with us. Not just the great pool, but the villa quiet pool was a perfect get-away, even for the kids.

Check-in was odd. CM at front desk not too friendly, never made eye-contact, seemed generally uninterested. Needed to buy park hoppers at check-in (long story) and CM could care less about spelling our the benefits of various plans.

Studio Room was quite nice. Used to the bigger HHI kitchenettes in studios, but never needed to cook in it anyway.

Transportation: Walking to Epcot is the best. Boat to MGM was convenient. What we did not like was sharing the buses with Swan / Dolphin. Way to crowded in the mornings. As DVC 'ers we'd appreciate a bus on early mornings just for BC, YC and BCV.

Had a decent meal at Spoodles, kids meals are still too limited in choices and quality. Had over-priced and over-cooked meal at Chef de France. Enjoyed the strange quietness of Sci-Fi. (300 people eating dinner and no body talking, makes for very odd quietness). Ate at the Cantina in Mexico, huge portions, good price, perfect Illuminations spot. Still love those turkey legs!

Crowds were less than expected, though lots of school groups and college spring breakers. Temps in the low 70's with a few showers, so water parks were empty and chilly, though we enjoyed them just the same.

New PhilharMagic 3D movie is super!

HINT: Four of us travelled and we decided not to use Mears. We booked a limo with American Luxury Transport. Excellent service. Highly recomend it. Round trip price was $89.50. If you use a credit card they automatically charge a $9 per trip ($18 total) gratuity. Seemed fare. It felt luxurious having a driver holding a sign with our name on it at the baggage claim area, then getting whisked away while we watched the masses being herded onto Mears shuttles.

Anyway, can't wait till we return "home."

Sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like a great trip overall...sorry about the restaurant issues. We've been meaning to try Spoodles but we're worried about the kids menu. Hmmmm.

I wish they would get the bus problem taken care of...once and for all.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip

That bus issue just will not go away - you would think that with all the dues we pay + all the guests at YC/BC/BWI that it would be a no brainer

thanks

I have a feeling that bus transportation will continue to be something Disney looks at...I would really be upset paying YC prices and having long waits for overcrowded buses. At least recent developments seem to indicate that they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

Thanks for taking the time to post your impressions.

Thanks for taking the time to post, TW. Reading reports from others is the next best thing to being there.

Oh, and welcome to the DIS boards. Always nice to see a new face. :wave2:

208 days and counting . . . again!

I really enjoyed reading your trip report! Thanks for taking the time to post it. I agree with you that the bus situation is unacceptable. Glad to hear that you had a great time!:D

Your trip report was great! Do you have a number or website for American Luxury Transport? I couldn't find it anywhere. A limo would be great for 89-. Usually you can only get a towncar for that price...

edit: I found their site - that's the price they have listed for a town car...bummer

I'll stay with Florida Tours http://www.fltours.com/index.htm
that support the disboards:teeth:
