OK now I found a little time to write my TR!
Remember I already posted a summary of the negative points during our trip.

But now just the pure TR! :)

We stated by car at the 5th June in Germany an arrived at 11am at the Explorer Hotel. This is a very nice hotel and we wanted to stay there for one night and paid 95€. The Explorers is a very good hotel for families because every room has 4 beds! And you only pay per room not per quest! We spent that day in Paris and woke up early the other morning because we had booked 3 nights and 4 days at the Disneyland Hotel. :cloud9:
Our room wasn’t ready so we went straight to the park.
A friend of mine said he wouldn’t visit DLRP with so many rehabs going on. And I think now that he was right.
Yes; there can be too much rehabs at one time.

On rehab this week was:
- The front of Hotel SL
- The front of NPBC
- The whole park side of the DLH
- Emporium
- The 2 toilets buildings near the station on Mainstreet
- POTC (we missed them sooo much, but we knew it when we booked the trip)
- Fuente del Oro
- Stunt Show at the Studios
- Castle stage
- Stage at FL
- Fantasia Garden

The work at night at Fantsia Garden was especially annoying because our room was at the FG side, and we even heard the noise of the engines when we closed the door.
And due to the fact that the park side of the DLH was under rehab we had no view at all during breakfast.

But never the less we had a great first day. Although the park was for a Tuesday very well visited. :grouphug: The first ride was as usual BTM followed by PM and Indiana Jones. After our favourite rides we visited the empty Saloon Mickey and had a nice second breakfast. After Saloon Mickey I got a real nice picture taken with Minnie. :yay:
After Minnie we watched the first show of Tarzan that day. I love the Tarzan show at DLRP. It is much better than The Lion King show. I could watch the apes and Tarzan and Jane jumping and flying for hours. And as an extra you got the superb music of Phill Collins. Just great; we watched the show every day! :woohoo:
After that great show it was time for our first Buzz ride! Buzz is very cool. He fits perfectly into Discoveryland and we had a lot of fun every time riding it. Due to the fact that you pay all your attention to the “Z” you miss the most of the attraction. One time I rode it without using my gun just to soak up the “attraction itself”!
After our check in at the DLH and Peter Pan it was time for the parade. With such great weather I got a lot of great pictures! :surfweb:
The rest of the first day was filled with Aladdin, Studios Tram Tour, Pinnochio, PM and Buzz.
For the evening we had a reservation at Beaver Creek Tavern which was great as usual. We took the starters and desert buffet and didn’t order a main dish.
At 10pm we returned to the DLH and had a great sleep in my all time favourite hotel. princess:

I already posted more pictures of our trip at http://pp.mousekingdom.com There you should look for the June 2006 album of Marcus.ka. And you also can find the October 2005 & January 2006 album.
Let me know what you think!

The second part of the TR will come soon! (If you like!) ;)

Yes please we would like part 2 very much.
Great photos even if they are a bit sad. I know they have to do maintenace but everyone would prefer it wasn't whilst they were on holiday. I have never been to the Salon Mickey and it not been really busy. That must be great to be there alone.

Great start.

shame about all the scaffolding.

most of the scaffolding had gone while we were there, there was a bit opposite the hotel entrance though not a lot. we were told about it when we booked though.
There was lots of painting going on in the park as well.

We loved Tarzan as well though we have not seen lion king yet so can not compare them.

Hallo Marcus! :sunny:
Enjoyed your TR so far, sorry about the rehabs but happy at the same time that everything will look nice next week. ;) :thumbsup2

And I totally agree about Tarzan, it`s such a great show and the theater makes part of the atmosphere. Last year we queued 45 min to get our Lion King tickets and we were rather disappointed. If I decide to watch it again next week I will watch it from Hyperion while eating and not queue for it.
Your room looks sooo comfortable.

Waiting for more popcorn::

But don't get me wrong I don't complain about the rehabs. I know it had to be done! But I have to agree to my fried who told me that for him there is a limit with rehabs going on at one time! (Does that make sence!) :lmao:

Perfect sense ::yes::

Glad you still had a great time. :goodvibes Your DLH room looks lovely :cloud9:

Great report and I can't wait to read part 2 :goodvibes

Good advice which I'll definitely test on our next visit :)

Lovely report Marcus, shame about the refurbishments but I suppose someone always has to suffer. :sad2:
