Today is Animal Kingdom, and to make sure we are able to ride the safari with no wait, we get there at park opening. We head straight to the safari and are able to ride with no wait. The safari was actually stopped for a couple of minutes while an ostrich attacked the vehicle in front of us. Maybe the driver was feeding it or something, but it would not go away. Finally it stepped back into the grass and the safari continued. I was a little worried once we got up to him, but fortunately he just looked at us like "what the hell do you want?" After the safari we did Rafiki's Planet Watch, which was ok. We planned on doing The Lion King show, but it was cancelled due to technical difficulties. We still haven't seen this show. We were able to see Tarzan Rocks, which was pretty neat. After lunch we decided we had enough heat and went over to check out Animal Kingdom Lodge. The place is incredible! We walked up and down one of the LONG hallways checking out the views. We never saw any animals, but the views were nice. We then checked out the pool and the gift shop before deciding to head back to our resort for a swim. After swimming for a bit, we got cleaned up and headed downtown. This also happened to be when the first thunderstorm moved in. It lasted for about an hour, but we managed to get some shopping done and were able to eat a very large ice cream cone. I think I ate more ice cream on this trip than I have in the last year. But hey, I'm on vacation! Who eats healthy while on vacation? I know I'll end up walking it all off anyway. But we decided to call it an evening and headed back to CBR. After a quick trip to the food court for a snack and Coke, we called it a day.
