I don't have the patience nor attention span to type one of those 'this was our daily trip report, complete with ADR times, bathroom breaks, and exact times we rode a particular attraction'. Instead I chose to give you the good and the bad of our trip, capsulized into an easy-to-read format for my other fellow ADD people. Here is the rest of the family:

Me: 31 years old, complete planner of this vacation
Wife: 30 years old, and just nods 'yes' to my ideas
Daughter: 11 years old (or 9 in Disney years---just kidding), and she commented she is getting sick?!?!? of Disney because she misses her friends at home. She will be kicked out of my family if this attitude continues.
Son: 5 years old. He is the devil.

PRO'S:

Alamo Car Rental:
Excellent car rental company here.....didn't ask for even ONE of my coupons I used to get my excellent rate. Got a mid-size SUV (Pontiac something?) for $170 for the entire vacation. Can't beat that. I also underestimated the freedom when your driving yourself and not waiting for busses----this will now be an every trip requirement to rent a car. Couple that with the AAA Diamond Parking Pass, and we had it pretty good.

POR:
Didn't get there until our second day of vacation (see our nightmare at Hard Rock in part 2), but I swear this place gets better everytime we're here. We were in building #28 which intially scared me due to looking far away, but turned out to be an excellent location. Just 5min walk to main building, and maybe a couple minutes to the main pool. Only footsteps away from a quiet pool, where we spent a considerable amount of time at.

EE: Although I would not deem this ride as a thrilling roller coaster (I grew up on Cedar Point), it is one of the best 'overall' rides I have ridden in some time. I heeded everyone's warning, and got up early to get on this thing, and ended up only waiting about 10min each morning. We got Fastpasses one time directly after riding, and that was the last time (see part 2).

Waking up Early: I am not a proponent of waking up early at ANY time be it on vacation or at home, but I must admit the error in my thinking. We got to each park around 9AM (early to me), and were outta there by 1:00PM with everything seen or ridden before the heat. Of course by waking up early that required a mid-afternoon nap taken in my hotel room. We went back to the parks for dinner, and some late day riding. All taken, we may have spent a total of 7-8 hours max in the parks, but got to see/ride everything without the heat and annoying crowds.

Weather: Couldn't have asked for better weather. EVERY day sunny, and at least in the high 80's or low 90's each day. This time of year at Disney is excellent.

Blizzard Beach:
I could spend all my vacation here....got better after my wife rode Summit Plummit and forgot to 'cross her arms'. The couple of guys on pervert row told her to ride again, lol. I consoled her by telling her at least she hit 50mph as per the speed read-out.

Dining: My entire vacation is based from where I get to eat. I watch what I eat all year long, so the meal plan is my personal reward. Some good places were: Chef Mickeys (as usual), Liberty Tree (excellent service and good food), Cape May Seafood Buffet (surprisingly good food), O'hana (worth it for just the dessert), and Aflredo Roma's (I'm Italian, so I gotta say this one). Finally worked the credits like we should, as we only had (1) lunch credit and (1) snack credit left at the end of vacation. There were some BAD service issues, so please check out part 3.

Southwest Airlines: At $34 each way from Baltimore, they could have tied me to the top of the plane for all I care. By telling a small white lie that my son was still 4 (they're not Disney, so don't chastise me, lol), we got on pre-boarding which is awesome----this paled in comparison to anther enterprising idea that some guy did. This guy faked a knee injury so he got 'blue carded' and got to board the plan first with his wife!!! I know this since we saw him after we got our rental car, as he was 'jogging' to his rental car without the use of that cumbersome brace, lol! I got to give him credit on that one.

I'm tired of typing, so here are some pics from the trip (my wife does not want any of here on here after the BB episode)lol:

Thanks for sharing your report. Good to hear you enjoying your vacation on good weather!

Love the report so far. I can't wait for your CON'S. After just finishing part 2 of my trip report, I'm secretly hoping someone else had CON'S too so I don't feel so bad. LOL! We just missed you. Checked in May 6 and out the 13th. We, too, LOVED Blizzard Beach.

Thanks for sharing the highlights. You are a wise man not to post certain pix after your description of the BB incident :teeth:

OMG, you are hiliarious. Please don't forget Part 2 & 3. Doesn't your wife want any pictures of her on here.

Yes this is a good one, I'm waitin for more! I have an 11 year old daughter too, and she must have said "I really miss my friends" at least 3 times a day!

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.

I'm sorry, I've actually been having to 'work' at work rather than peruse the DIS boards.......I will get on it today.
