This is a report from Sunday, October 26. I've also got a Trip Report for Halloween as well.

We arrived at around 2 p.m. to a very crowded park! Seems as though it's getting more and more crowded as the holidays get closer. It was just me, my sister, Christine, and Mom, Dianna. We decided to wear some Halloween-themed shirts. I wore my Ghost Hunters shirt, Christine wore her shirt with Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins and the words, "Barnabas Collins for President," and Mom wore one of our, "Got Ghosts?" supporting the Whaley House in San Diego. It's like a "Got Milk?" shirt. Out of those three, Mom got the most attention! People were interested in this Whaley House place.

First order of business was to head over to Toy Story Midway Mania in DCA for Mom to try it out. We all jumped in the Single Rider line for less of a wait. I rode with some girl who beat me (I got 115,100 points and she got 133,100) and it was her first time while my second! Christine managed to sit with Mom and beat her pretty good. It's a tough game, takes practice!

The whole time I was trying to find a Disney Villains T-shirt that I know I have seen before. The style has been made in the form of a beach towel and it includes Ratigan! I figured if I could find that in a T-shirt, I can wear it on Halloween and show somewhat of "The Great Mouse Detective" on a shirt! I checked in the stores we passed while coming back from Midway Mania. No luck at all. Before leaving DCA, we stopped at the Mission Tortilla Factory to get a free sample. Yum! However, we didn't get far when we stopped into Disney's Blue Sky Cellar to look at some sneak peeks for the changes they plan to do to DCA starting in 2010.

This is why they're taking out the Golden Gate Bridge near the entrance. They're drastically changing the CA theme to suit more of another Disneyland with the same amount of magical touches. For example, the main entrance will turn to Buena Vista Street and look like something out of the 1920's Los Angeles with a street car riding around. And then, Cars Land will be built near the Tower of Terror from the Pixar movie, having its own Radiator Springs town and what appears to be a race car ride. Plus, where Golden Dreams was will be a new attraction for "The Little Mermaid." Now, I'm looking forward to that! Lastly, overlooking the Pier will have some sort of Wonderful World of Color extravaganza performance. Oh, and the sun in the Sun Wheel will be changed to Mickey's head! It all sounds like fabulous ideas, it's just a shame they'll have to pull out some of the old to make way for the new. The park is in sad shape, not getting much attention. Hopefully, this will help spark the love it deserves.

Moving along, we stepped out of DCA to go to DL, deciding to head straight to the French Market for dinner. I had dental work done on the 23rd and the Clam Chowder soup sounded really good as well as easier to eat. We went straight there without stopping and got some food. I'm quite bummed to say that the Clam Chowder cannot be served in a regular bowl. I don't like sourdough bread and I end up wasting it. And another thing, it's hard for me to chew it at the moment! Though, I really wanted the soup and ended up buying it anyway. We also got two orders of the four-cheese pasta dish. It came to over $60, yowza! The grilled vegetables that come with the pasta were extremely bitter, very disappointing since I love grilled vegetables. The cornbread was delicious though, and the pasta itself was very tasty.

After dinner, we went to pick up a Fast Pass for Haunted Mansion. That ride has been packed like you wouldn't believe! The return time said 6:25-7:25 and it was about 4:52 by our watches. One thing to note here. Whoever was playing Jack Sparrow at the time had kind of an attitude, an inappropriate one when outside with guests. Mom walked by him and said hello and he just did a quick bow like Jack usually does. And then two guys wanted their picture with him. Well, he must have been heading for his break because he started walking backwards when the person taking their picture was too slow to snap a photo. I couldn't tell if they got their picture or not because Jack finally turned and brisked away! Sheesh, it's one thing to go take a break, but don't treat the guests like that!

We walked away from the area and ended up all the way in Fantasyland, continuing our trek over to Innoventions. Christine and I had seen the house of tomorrow way back on September 5 and got to play in the many cool rooms. Mom had never seen it before, and we said it was a fun thing to do. Cassi was there, or the same girl we met on Sept. 5, and she played with us. Mickey, another CM, liked Mom's "Got Ghosts?" shirt and we started talking about real ghosts and haunted places. That sparked another CM, who's name I can't remember, to tell us that he had seen the ghost of the girl that haunts the Innoventions building. It is true, a CM did die in the same area during when it was America Sings in the 60's. She somehow got trapped between the moving platform wall and was crushed to death. One good thing I got a picture of while there: a photo on the computer of the Sherlock Holmes Museum! It's so cool! In the kitchen area, there's a computer of a slide show of photos taken around the world and London is one of the places. You can pause the slide show if you want and I did to snap a picture of the outside of the Museum.

Eventually we left Innoventions and it had already gotten dark by then. Time to go back to the Haunted Mansion. We took the route past the Partners statue, pausing a bit to watch the Grand Marshall drive by with the selected family to win another Year of a Million Dreams sweepstakes. Soon we returned to HM and for the first time in a long time, fell to the very back of the group after leaving the elevator. We got to watch how wheelchair guests ride back up inside the elevator. Weird! Mom and Christine rode together while I took my own Doom Buggy, snapping photos of them during the séance room where we got stuck. I was blinding them with the flashes, hehehe.

Next, it was to hop on Pirates, getting the front row seat, but not getting too badly wet. I think the water level is lower late at night. I was really feeling depressed at that point, but I think exhaustion had a hand in there. After Pirates, we rushed to jump on the DLRR to get back over to Main Street. I was starting to feel better, and then I remembered I wanted to catch Mickey in his Halloween costume. We first went to watch "The First 50 Magical Years" again because I had heard the Disney Gallery was moved to the exit. Had I known you could just go through the hat shop, we would have skipped watching the show. But, I think doing so put me in a slightly better mood, and I was more than ready to go say hi to Mickey. Unfortunately, we got there too late. The line was already cut, so we had to come back in ten minutes.

We turned to the Emporium to look for the Disney Villains T-shirt. No luck at all, but Christine found a very funny Grumpy shirt that said, "Vote for Grumpy, everyone else is Dopey." We then headed off to get some much-needed chocolate, crossed the street to get a bottle of water at the fruit stand, and then headed back to catch Mickey a second time. We got in line and posed for pictures. Always happy to see him. We also went to see Minnie near the flag pole. I only snapped photos of her rather than wait in line. Finally, it was time to head for home. We tried asking about the Disney Villains T-shirt at World of Disney, but they didn't have it either.

And that's my trip report!

That sounds VERY cool. I love to watch those old movies from the 30's & 40s like Double Indemnity where it shows LA scenes from that time period.

I knew it! I bet it will be a miniture version of Illuminations in Epcot. :cool1:

Oh, and the sun in the Sun Wheel will be changed to Mickey's head!

Cool. :thumbsup2
