My wife and I are planning our 10th anniversary trip for March of 2005. We have decided to retun to WDW and maybe look at the cruise option. We have also decided to bring our son who will be just turning 4 at the time of the trip. My question is the 4 day resort stay and 3 day cruise a good option for our son? This will be our second trip to WDW. We were there in early March of this year for 7 days.

Any advice would be much approciated.

First, a quick welcome to the DIS!!

Since we haven't done our first DCL cruise yet, all I can say is, my DD did her first cruise in Sept (she was 3 at the time) and had a wonderful time. She's very outgoing, and makes friends easily, so there wasn't any concern she wouldn't enjoy herself. And she's been to both WDW and DL and loves it. So if your DS is anything like her, I'm sure he'll love it.

I'd say do a 7 night cruise ... blow off WDW. Your whole family will have the time of their lives.

We did the 4 day DW and 3 day cruise when my daughter 4. It was great, she had a wonderful time, but the cruise was no near long enough for me to rest up after chasing a 6 and 4 year old around WDW. If you have the money, I would say go for 4 days at WDW and then do a 7 day cruise.

My kids had so much fun on the boat that they asked to skip WDW and do a 7 day cruise the next time and that is just what we did and they had the time of their lives! There is plenty to do for your son and even more for you and your wife to do! I think it will be well worth it.

I did the 5/1 Eastern 7 day cruise with my 5 year old daughter precisely because I didn't want to chase her around the parks for an hour and a half only to have her say, "Daddy, I'm tired... carry me, please?"

We loved the 7 day cruise. After doing that, I'd think 3 days is too short. But having a few days on the ship is better than having none!

Thanks for your advice but we are changing our plans. The dtes were not workong out so we will be going with the 7 days at WDW only. I can't wait.
