so we decided to pretty much get "stuff" in advance that we thought she would want to enjoy the disney experience. so far we have, 2 autograph/photo books and her snow white and cinderella dresses and shoes..
i guess im just asking what other suggestions do you guys have for lil girls around this age... that i could get before hand. of course i want to let her pick out some nick-knacks down there.. but just trying to say a little bit of dough..
and is the pal mickey really worth it??

Pal mickey was really cute my DS 2 loved it.......And DH loved it for the trivia bits....

But I got mine on Ebay for like 1/2 the price!

WOW I just went on ebay and they are going for 100+ I was like WOW...these people aren't smart cause they are like what 70 bucks....

Well if you go to all ears .net it says they are being discontinued when stock sells out but they will still work in the parks

In the past I've shopped the Disney Store's online clearance for t-shirts and stuff. Often you can get shirts that match for around $5 each. You can also check out the local dollar store for Disney themed items (I think there is thread here on the family boards about that). The truth is you can always find Disney themed stuff at good prices at most stores...just keep your eyes peeled.

Good luck and I hope you have a magical trip!

I have started buying some little souveniers for my kids actually .. I want to let them purchase a few things but want them to walk up to *suprises* each morning also!!

-So far I have purchased some Minnie and Mickey Tshirts (I have 1son and 1daughter)
-I purchased a Minnie and a Mickey tumbler cup
-Purchased a few of those cool pop-up washcloths (you know the ones that are in a little shape but when you put them in the water they open up to be a washcloth)

Hmm, that might be it so far .. I am also buying them Disney Dollars to spend while we are there!

The glowstick jewelry from the Dollar Store (my daughter loves them for the parades), a really big bib for those pretty dresses at character meals, and a water fan (they are only a few dollars at Walmart). Have fun!

Disneyland Sing Along Songs

Do you have this DVD yet? It "takes place" in Disneyland in 1990 - but other than clothes of some of the kids in the video and one or two attractions that aren't in WDW (which are barely noticable) it is AMESOME for getting little kids excited about Magic Kingdom and more "comfortable" and excited about meeting the characters! They are the "same" characters you'd see in the parks as opposed to animated like on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!

Also - I'd recommend buying/borrowing any mainstream Disney DVD that she hasn't seen yet so that she is familar with the characters (and then more excited to meet them). DD#1 knew all the "main ones" (Mickey & Friends, Pooh & Friends, and all the Princesses) from previous trips, but last trip (she had just turned 3) we got Mary Poppins and Alice and Wonderland - she still loves those movies and meeting them was a highlight! And Peter Pan!

We rented or borrowed a Toy Story and Monsters Inc too - they aren't quite her style, but when she saw someone or stomething from those movies, she could at least place it.

We still haven't seen Lilo and Stitch, Mulan, or Pochahontas..... that should actually be on my to-do list for the next 10 weeks.

I'll second the recommendation for the Sing-a-long songs dvd. My daughter loves that stinking dvd, just thinking about it gets the songs stuck in my head! It really helped her get comfortable with what it might be like. She's a Disney pro!

cool thanks everyone!
the sing a longs sound like a great idea...
i think i own every disney dvd available, at least the animated ones.. ( i DID miss out on beauty and the beast, but thankfully i have it on vhs and by som miracle my 20 year old VCR still works! lol)

I like to go to Michaels and get all their princess stuff for $1/each. (I haven't been lately). I also try to buy t-shirts at the Disney store - $5 compared to $15-$20 in the park. I also like to look on e-bay for WDW Princess stuff. You can get t-shirts/sweatshirts for a lot cheaper sometimes.
