trip planning ? pls help !

hello together !!

I'm going to WDW from 28 AUG (sunday) - 2 SEPT (saturday) , whereas i'll arrive
at lunchtime on the sunday. so i have the "magic your way ticket" for 6 days, so i don't want to waste the sunday..i was thinking about the following : wdw has 4 parks, + water parks + downtown disney...
last time (99 or 2000?) i've been there i enjoyed epcot the lesst whereas MK and especially MGM were my favs, i dont think that i am that interested in downtown disney. i really like the rides aswell as the parades and fireworks. can u suggest a planner for me what to do at wich day ? so would you spend a whole day on the water parks or half each ? how much time for MK, AK and MGM??

please suggest me your opinions what would be best and how to use the time i'm going to spend there most efficiently.

Make sure your ticket has the no expiration on it if you will not be using all the days. I personally love the waterparks at Disney-- so I could definetly spend all day there relaxing. However, I really, really like them!! Many people feel that 1/2 a day is plenty at them. Since you really like MK a lot, and there is so much to do there, I'd plan 2 days there. If you are no that crazy how about going to AK and then just hitting up Epcot in the evening--- it would work really well if you are staying onsite and can go to Epcot on an evening EMH (this is provided you'll have park hopping on your tickets).
To me DTD is great for shopping. I wouldn't plan a whole day around going there. It is a great filler for empty time.

well i know i like MGM more than MK but 2 days...hm maybe maybe I'LL do 1 day each and then on another day i do the rest of MGM and MK what i missed.
shopping at DTD ? I Don't know if i'm going to shop..i'll be in New York some days before so I think i've got plenty time to shop there ;-)

waterparks..hm a whole day in 1 waterpark is to much i think, especially when I've got only 5 1/2 days..but I'll definetly spend some good time there

we booked the magic your way tickets with the hopping and the extra parks option

How about Animal Kingdom? Have you been there yet?

no, not yet but i'm planing to spend a whole day there...do you think i need more or less ?

AK usually closes at 5. If you pan on seeing the shows it can take all day if you don't you can probably get it done in half a day unless it is real busy.

Why does AK already clost at 5 ?

Are extra magic hours every day ?

I think it has to do with the feeding of the animals. they have EM morning hours but not sure about late hours
