trip planning - more during winter, less during summer?

do you find yourself planning your WDW vacation more during the winter than during the summer? find yourself too busier starting w/spring and glad you planned what you did in the winter when you had more time?
i have the feeling once the spring finally gets here I'll be glad I did what Ive been doing. And certainly once DS gets out of school we'll be too busy!
