Your pool looks lovely, I think WDW are very accomodating with food issues as long as you let them know

We really have fun in the pool!! When I moved to FL 19 years ago, that was one thing I really wanted!

Your first two days look pretty much like what we have planned - just a week earlier ... I guess great minds think alike!! (But if you think like I do - you're in trouble!! )

You may want to check out the ears-to-ears web site: the dining section has menu and other info that may be of help ...

We haven't eaten at any of your MK restuarants - but Cosmic Ray's in
Tomorrowland has a lot of choices ... and "live" entertainment, too!

And I'm looking forward to a Dole Whip brain freeze!!

Hi Joel! Great minds definitely think alike! I love the week that we are going -- all the decorations and no mad rush yet!

We are planning on Cosmic Ray's on the night of our Christmas Party to watch the kids dance. So much fun!

But dont worry its not as bad as it seems . you just have to Be careful about what you eat and try Not to Stress your self out over the " little things ". my Father had it and, it has its up days and Down Days But you CAN Live with it for the most part . OMG!!! What a roller coaster of emotions you have been on lately! So glad you got this straightened out.

Barb, it has been a roller coaster. I ran out and bought $70 worth of books that I ended up not needing, Grandma and DD couldn't sleep at all. But all is good now and that's what matters!!

It was horrible waiting and she's fine, too! She went through the whole thing with me and it was devastating just knowing she was suffering too.

How can DD be 21 if I only feel 16 most of the time???

DAY FOUR!

Day Four is Animal Kingdom Day!! We are so excited because we just love it there. One of our favorite memories is when they had extra magic hours and we felt like we were the only people there. We must have walked for an hour without seeing anyone else! It was awesome.

And of course the Meerkats. Anyone who read my TR, knows of my love affair with them. I can't wait to see them again! I try to watch Meerkat Manor, but it always makes me cry because someone is always getting into trouble! I miss Flower!

We are planning on Yak & Yeti Counter Service for lunch. Has anyone else done this? The menu looks good. For dinner we are doing Tusker House, which was probably our favorite last year. We just ate and ate and ate and ate! And we loved everything. The service was just amazing, the chef was so cool and fun, and we loved the little book telling you what everything was. Delicious!

I am going on Dinosaur this year. It bounced me around too much several years ago, but now since I've got to sit with Mater, I figure that it will be fine. It's funny, though. Due to the chemo brain, I can't really remember it at all. I don't remember the queue or the ride, although DD has told me so much about it. I remember one of the dino's eating another and that's it. So it will be like a new ride for me! (Just like Space Mountain was last year but I hated that!! LOL) Also, DD talked me into "Flights of Wonder" and I'm horrified of birds! This comes from living in Pittsburgh as a child where the birds seemed to make nests anywhere, including in our garbage can lids and my mother screaming at me not to touch them as a ran with an outstretched hand! I already told DD if one of the birds flies near me, she is going to regret it!! If anyone is in AK that day and hears screaming, you'll know where to find me!

Here are some pictures of when we stayed at GF. DD was all excited because of the "Full House" episode that took place there. She had to be on the same steps that DJ and Kimmy were on, and she had to sit at 'Uncle Jesse's' piano!

Wow, you are going to go to Flights of Wonder! Good for you! It is actually an amazing show. Just ask one of the CMs where to sit to not be alarmed by the birds. Some of them do a "fly over", but they are very trained and want to get back to the trainer for their reward. They are quite stunning.
I love the old pictures in the GF lobby! That piano is HUGE!

Hi Jo!! Welcome back!

We had so much fun at GF! We're going to visit this year to see the decorations. I love it there. She still loves Full House although now I can tease her about it like crazy. Those two girls that played Michele are only about a year older than DD and as babies they wore so many of the same clothes that DD had. It was fun!

Can't wait for your review of Yak & Yeti CS!!

As of tomorrow morning we can make all of our dining reservations!
DM and I have narrowed it all down to our "musts" for this trip, ending in perfect agreement through lots of yelling, screaming, and fist-fighting Actually, we've tried to make it a goal to eat in as many places as possible we haven't tried yet, but still make sure we hit our favorites! I love that feeling of calling Disney and getting those ADR's set in stone, because then it feels the trip is just around the corner!

DAY FIVE

This is our Christmas Party Day! We are so excited. We loved it last year and we loved it the very first year they had it.

This year we are planning on spending the entire day at MK and watching the people leave like we did last year. Disney really handed it well with everyone without a Christmas party wrist band. We're planning on having lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and dinner at Cosmic Ray's so we can watch the little kids at the dance party. It was sooo cute last year and this year we want to be part of the action.

We had dinner at LTT last year and the characters were great but the food was ..... icky. Hoping lunch will be much better. Has anyone had lunch there and can recommend anything?

DD is going to update as soon as she gets out of the swimming pool -- it is a gorgeous day here, but I'll let you in on a secret: NO DEPRESSION!!!!

Having those ADR's somehow makes everything seem so much closer and more real and more exciting!!!!

I've been counting this day down for so long and finally, finally, finally at 7am I got to listen to the classic Disney tunes for 25 minutes (not that I minded! ) until I got through to a very kind and informative cast member! Here is what we've booked, if you're going at any of these times on these dates, let's say HI!

Well I thieved the last dinner reservation for Le Cellier, according to the cast member, away from anybody else trying to get it on 12/2! At least DM won't have to kill me With everything else I had no trouble, except Chef Mickey's was about an hour earlier than I wanted, but that was no problem at all!

Now for the fun part. If anybody has eaten at any of these places, feel free to recommend something, PLEASE DO!

In all of the trips we've taken to to the World, we've eaten at Tony's, LTT, and 50's many times. Chefs, Tusker House, Le Cellier, we've only done once each. The rest are all new to us! I'm most excited about Askerhaus Royal Banquet Hall; I love the thought of eating in a Norwegian castle! The food sounds fantastic to me and I'm looking forward to meeting one of my favorite characters, Belle.

I'm so sorry about your friend, Jo. Cancer is such a criminal; it steals so much from all of us no matter if we are victims of it or not. We all seem to lose.

We are so excited about our ADR's!! All the restaurant's that we picked look yummy and especially Le Cellier! We did consider doing it for lunch one day, too! It is just the best. I have been thinking about that steak since last December!

I was going to make steak tonight for dinner. I'm very new at cooking steak and not even sure that I buy the right cuts! But it is fun to experiment with it! However, I'm reading DD's finished novel, which is wonderful, so everyone is dealing with having pizza!! I'm locked away in my room reading and editing, just amazed by her talent.

We are so excited about the ADR's! I try and explain to some of my non-Disney friends how amazing the food it. I think many of them who have never been there think festival food of corn dogs and stale popcorn! They just have no clue what they are missing! More for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
