at the ankle bracelet idea! Throw that leg up on the counter!!Happy 3 Weeks & 4 Days since I fell behind and missed 4 Weeks!
We never bought trip insurance ever until last March, actually I had bought it for our trip in Oct 2011 that we postponed till March 2012 and was able to transfer it to the March Trip. I bought it again for last years Nov-Dec trip and again this time thru the carrier Jet Blue offers.
Now that we are older you just never know what might happen.
Your FP + plans sound good and how cool is it you already got the bands!![]()
Thanks Sheila!
A little late here, but I'll join in! I read one of your other reports and enjoyed it so I figured I'd read another! I am going to live vicariously through you as you stay at YC (with an amazing deal, wow!) and test out those magic bands. I love how they came delivered in that little box.
You're not too late, we've got 3 1/2 weeks to go!!
Thanks for joining and feel free to post anytime!
And we'll see how the MagicBands go! I know, that little box they came in is really cute!
I too am surprised by the size of the magic bands!
I probably missed this in your report...
Is the YC part of the magic band test? I saw that you picked your FP+ rides... Did you pre-pick your colors for the bands?
The whole FP+ and Magic Bands confuse me! I can't wait to hear how your trip goes!

I will be checking in live to let everyone know how it's going!!Well I must say that I am intrigued. Still don't think I'm going to like it, but I am intrigued. Can't wait to hear your opinion on it when you get back. Even if the whole system is the best thing since sliced bread, I still won't like wearing it on my wrist though. It's just a claustrophobia thing with me. I don't like wearing rings or bracelets. Yes, I know that's dumb... what can I say.Maybe I could just strap it to my bag???
I wonder if you can wear them at the water parks???
I think everyone should just bull ring the magic bands thru their noses for ease of access.
Sorry. Obviously that glass of wine has made me a little too relaxed. Hee hee hee.

Hey there - I think I could manage one of those bands. I wear a watch all the time, so maybe it would be okay. As long as it doesn't get all sweaty underneath. That would be icky.
I wasat the ankle bracelet idea! Throw that leg up on the counter!!
But, it might be hot. We'll see!
Fun!!! I love when you get Disney mail, it means you're sooooo close!
I have giant man wrists, so I think we would both be fine with the bands LOL, but I don't generally wear a watch so it may get on my nerves. And if its the material I think it is - I would be afraid it would get hot too.
Do they seem like they will stay on your bag if you hook them on there? I would be afraid to lose it that way too though. Hmmmm.

It's getting close now!
Maybe if you were just walking around, but it could probably come loose if it got banged around on rides and things.
I hear ya, I don't like wearing things on my wrist either. Don't ever wear a watch and very rarely wear a bracelet. Should be interesting. I'm guessing mine will end up in my bag most of the day...
I'm not sure about the waterparks. Haven't heard. I did hear that we will be given regular room keys as well when we check in because of the whole SAB thing. You can't get in there without a room key for everyone, and they don't have the 'tap your key/band kiosk' thingys there yet.
Oh. My.
I think for anyone who wears a watch it won't be a problem. Pretty similar in size. But, it might be hot. We'll see!
See, the anklet idea isn't bad, right?!
We also got our ME booklet this week too!!It's getting close now!
IDK if it would stay strapped to a bag or not.Maybe if you were just walking around, but it could probably come loose if it got banged around on rides and things.

A necklace???The insurance from the JB site is fairly cheap for what it covers we paid less than $50 for both of us and last year it was less than $40 each time. It covers flights, lost luggage and limited medical etc . In Oct 2011 when we postponed due in part because of Bob's needing the eye surgery if we had gotten a note from his Dr. We could have been reimbursed for the cancelled flights but he did not want to ask the Dr for a letter so instead we were able to just transfer the policy to our new dates in March. We should have put in the claim would have come out ahead by $100 but wasn't worth fussing with Bob over the Dr note. Men can be such a PIA sometimes
I can see me taking the Magicband off and forget to put it on before heading out to the parks. But I do love the pink one![]()

But yes, it could be very easy to forget, especially when you aren't used to having to bring something like that to the parks.Okay if not a nose ring how about an earring?A necklace???
I think they could make fab jewelry designs somehow. Maybe not as they are, but the RFID chip is small enough so I think they could give more options than the band.
I wonder what happens if you lose it? Seems like they would be expensive and maybe they would charge a replacement fee?
And I might need an extender to fit it around my neck!
I still can't believe they are shipping them all UPS and not just giving them to you when you check in.
Epcot is the main reason we choose to give up the Poly for an Epcot resort sometimes!
)
But who knows, maybe with the heat we will be seeking out indoor things do and we will get to see one or two of those films this year!

Bob will go in and do it alone while I wander around in the area below, and send ridiculous videos of myself walking on the moon to my friends at work
Love Epcot!![]()
You know how when you dream of being at Disney, it's usually the same place that you mind goes to? My 'go to' is strolling around the WS in the evening, when it starts to cool off a bit. I have a grey goose lemoncello slush in my hand and they are starting to play the Illuminations pre-show loop. I always hear the "Year Jig" song and it just takes me to that happy place
And I agree with you about M:SBob will go in and do it alone while I wander around in the area below, and send ridiculous videos of myself walking on the moon to my friends at work

I'll never forget the feeling I had the last time I went on it and they closed that door.
Thanks for your thoughts. You are probably right, we likely won't need a LM FP+ on our rope drop day. I guess I just worry because it is new and I know Fantasyland gets busy around 10 and I'm worried we won't be able to fit in all 4 of our Fantasyland attractions that we like before the crowds hit - IASW, PP, Philharmagic, and LM.
It will be interesting to see how it all works out once the FP+ is all rolled out. I'm a bit worried that the FP lines are going to get awful long.![]()
This is what I would recommend doing PP, LM, Philharmagic, IASW in that order and you should be fine without a FP for LM. All done before 10am and then go from there. I know it is a lot of back tracking but then you will have another FP instead of LM.
That is cool that you got your Magic Bands. I have the same concerns as you about not being comfortable in them. I don't even wear a watch while we are in the World. Please let me know you feel wearing them.

Shelly I'm at your happy place right now.
Waiting for the boys to get off MS- I don't do that one either. Lol
Also waiting for DH to get here after work then we are having dinner at Garden Grill YUM!!
That was DS16's request. Trying hard to keep him happy. He is a typical teenager from what I hear and doesn't want anything to do with us especially since I LOVE being in Disney. So he definitely doesn't want to be here. Today however was a good day.
We leave Sat. I am so sad
Tomorrow and Friday we are doing US/IoA.
I haven't had a chance to read all your updates. I will catch up when I get home.

for that ride. What is wrong with them? On our last trip I feel like we didn't get to spend enough time in World Showcase. My boys just weren't feeling World Showcase that time. The trip before they loved it. I'm totally looking forward to World Showcase on our next trip but I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you until that time.
Mission Space is just gross.I'll never forget the feeling I had the last time I went on it and they closed that door.

How was the rest of your day at Epcot? How was dinner?

I can't wait to hear all about the MagicBands and how they work for you. I, too, hate wearing bracelets and watches so I'm not sure how I feel about the MagicBands. I like the colors though.
Yeah, at least the colors are cool!!
Your Epcot plans look great! I love Epcot. Spaceship Earth is one of my very favorite rides. Unfortunately, the other people in my family don't share myfor that ride.
Looking forward to hearing about your DHS plans.
I really like Spaceship Earth too. I didn't used to, but I have come to appreciate it. Lucky for me the kids love it too!! You would think it would bore them, especially DS14, but I think they really enjoy making the video!
OK, would someone please fill me in on MS. I haven't rode that ride and my DD is finally wanting to ride it on our next trip.
Claustrophobia I guess.
LOVE EPCOT!!!!!
Your days there sound perfect!
I think any day spent there, no matter how hot or rainy or crowded... it's perfect to me!
Have you ever seen Sum of All Thrills? We walked past it in December. You might want to take DS14 to it, he may like it a lot. We didn't ride it bc it's a simulated ride and in a closed space and you know that is just a recipe for disaster with my motion sick Drew. But it looked really really cool and I have heard a lot of people like it.
You're lucky to be staying so close to Epcot. You can just pop over whenever you feel like it!
I can't wait to ride Soarin.... been waaaaaaay too long!
Last trip was just one day there and WS was so rushed to get through because of a lunch ADR. And the day was just crappy. Well you know, you were there! Plus the whole Soarin fiasco.
I am so looking forward to MANY Soarin rides this time!
Maybe this time there won't be a line and he can try it!
