The trip is PAID IN FULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

You were right Lauren -- there was nowhere online to pay for it. :confused3 I brought up my ressie online like I always do, expecting to be able to pay for it online, like I always do, but there was nowhere to do so. So I called, thinking I could just do it on the phone automated, like I have before. But nope, the 'system' couldn't recognize my ressie. :faint: So I had to go through the whole spiel and wait for a CM and all that. But it is now paid off and I am ready to go!!!!!!!!!

The funny part is that when I bring up my GF ressie there is a place to click to make a payment on that one. And that ressie is free because it was comped!! :rotfl:

Weird.

Love your Christmas pictures! They are just beautiful!:cloud9: I love WDW all decorated for Christmas!

I know, it's so weird about the payment online. I still don't see anywhere online to pay for it. Oh well, guess I just have to call!

I loved all of your CBR links! They are so helpful. Now, I am debating between CBR and the Dolphin. I am just worried that since it will be such a busy time of year, that we will not like taking the bus everywhere. That is why I am thinking about the Dolphin. There is 40% off of the Dolphin on a travel site, that makes it just about the same price as CBR. And we could walk to Epcot and DHS if we wanted to.:thumbsup2 Plus, the BW is right there too! Oh, decisions, decisions!:surfweb:

ETA: CONGRATS ON THE TRIP BEING PAID IN FULL!

Thanks! :goodvibes

It is weird about not being able to pay online. IDK what is up with that!

Hmm.....that's tough one!! Did you check the teacher rate for the Swan/Dolphin? Sometimes it's really good too, and you can get it because you work in a school. IDK what to tell you -- CBR or Dolphin.....You are right, you won't have to deal with buses to everywhere at the Dolphin. But keep in mind that when you do have to take the bus there it sometimes shares with ALL of Epcot resorts and it takes forever! :faint: Especially the DTD trip. But yes, you would be able to walk to Epcot and DHS!! I guess it just depends on what you want. Last time I was trying to choose between them we went with CBR because we wanted more of a resort feel than a hotel, and because of wanting to use ME. But next time I will likely go for the Swan/Dolphin for the location.

That didn't help much, did it? :confused3:rotfl:

Oh tennis shoes,
oh Tennis shoes.
The wearing of you
gives
me the blues.

You feel so heavy
on my
feet,
And make me loo-oook,
not so neat.

Oh tennis shoes
oh tennis shoes
The wearing of you
gives
me the blues.

:cool1:

YAY for paying off the trip!!!! It's official now!!

Talk about ME waiting till the last minute. :rotfl2:

Those christmas decorations are beautiful and did I mention I'm going to see them in 11 days???

:rotfl:

:wave2:

Speaking of the S/D...
did anyone else get the email of $121.21 a night for Dec 9- 13th?? :crazy2:

Yeah I almost choked too.
Such a great price.

I did get that email! :faint: Believe me, thoughts of changing resorts were running through my head!! :crazy2:

Why would they do that so LAST MINUTE??? :sad2:

Okay ladies - I just spent the better part of the afternoon "working" on your PTR. ;)

I apologize to you both - I can't believe I was here toward the beginning and somehow missed weeks!!! Blame it on my trip to WDW. Yeah, that's it!

ANYWAY...
I am very excited for you both - I hope things do open that are supposed to open!
On packing for weird weather - just pack a fleece jacket and t-shirts, capris, a couple pair of shorts and you'll be fine!!!

Again, my apologies on my absence and lack of participation. I feel terrible!

Carry on...

I wondered where you had been!!! Well, other than WDW!

So glad you are here now! As you can see attendance has been low in recent weeks. I think everyone went off to WDW and then forgot about me!!

I hope everything opens too!! So far we already know that the courtyard pool at the GF is NOT opening on time. Not even close. Was originally supposed to open the end of Nov. Then mid Dec. And now SPRING 2013! :headache:

So yes, we are very hopeful that Test Track and everything else opens on-time!! :wizard:

Thanks for the packing tips. You make it sound so easy!!

So now comes the age old question---

to online check in or not.

Given the whole Marina View desire of every dang guest of the GF, I'm wondering if it wouldn't give us an edge over those who don't?

:confused3

Just ready for it to get here already.

The kids are up to their eyeballs in work. Trying to get everything so they can study on vacation for midterms.

ugh.
Not fun at all.:headache:

Happy 11 days Shelly!!:cool1:

I really hadn't given it too much thought....Guess I could do it tomorrow for the GF and then Saturday for the Poly....IDK. :confused3 I've always heard if you have special requests that you shouldn't do online check in. Because your packet & room keys will be there and waiting and if you don't like the room you got then it would be a hassle to get it changed.

So IDK. I guess I'm leaning towards not doing it.

I'll be emailing the kids teachers early next week to remind them about the trip so they can start sending work home for the following week. Hopefully with not leaving until Sunday they can get most or all of it done ahead of time! :wizard:

HAPPY 10 DAYS!!!

Some interesting holiday facts from All Ears....

There are 1,300 decorated trees scattered throughout WDW property.

A wreath 25 feet in diameter adorns the Cirque du Soleil building at Downtown Disney West Side.

There are 10 miles of twinkling rope lights in the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

There are 150 semi-trailer truckloads of decorations for 24 resorts, 4 theme parks, Downtown Disney and other locations.

There are 15 miles of garland strung and 1,314 wreaths hung throughout the Vacation Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Resort has 8.5 million lights strung throughout.

The lighting used for the holiday decor is 98 percent LED; 2 percent is compact fluorescent.

The 70-foot-tall tree in Disney's Contemporary Resort entrance lobby features nearly 35,800 white LED lights.

The 16-foot-tall gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is baked with 1,050 pounds of honey and involves more than 160 hours of decorating.

That's a really neat list it reminds me of one I have on the back of a t shirt I bought on the 2007 Trans Atlantic cruise.

The Disney Magic will travel 4,649 nautical miles, or 5,346 statute miles on it's Transatlantic voyage

The Voyage goes through 6 Time Zones

The Deepest part of the Atlantic crossed on the voyage is 6,000 meters or 19,85 feet.

The Disney Magic can hold close to 800,000 gallons of fresh water made from sea water every day while cruising. It can make about 300,000 gallons per day. Guests and crew use about 220,000 gallons per day.

8,260 cups of coffee are served every day on board.

The Disney Magic cruses at a speed of 21.5 knots or 24 miles an hour.

of the 5,000 eggs consumed every morning at breakfast, 1,956 are scrambled, 552 are served sunny side up, 480 are eaten soft- boiled, 984 are made into omelettes and 976 are made into other egg dishes.

That is cool!

It's always fun and surprising to see those numbers!
