So we are going to Universal for 2 days next month. On a Sat and Sun. We are staying at a sister hotel so we will get the express passes and early entry. Question 1 do the days flip flop as to which park has the early entry? Where can I find those hours out at? Question 2 which is probably stupid but is there any chance we'd get to ride the new ride? I read about the 10 hour wait which is absurd. Im assuming there is no express pass for that ride? If we get there super early and go straight there? Wishful thinking probably as we wont wait more than an hour with our two kids. Thanks!!!

To add on to my question is Universal like Disney as we want to be at the gates up to an hour early? We have a full day to do each park and the express unlimited pass so I am not too concerned with not being able to do anything we want to do except for Hagrids. I really hope we can ride it. We will be attending July 20th and 21st if that makes a difference on weather wait times slow down by then?

All newly opened rides have long line waits their first few weeks to a month
(Some rides always have long lines)
Hopefully you will be able to do the new ride

Weekends tend to have more crowds in the park
Are your days changeable to a weekday?

Yes, go plenty of time before the parks open and wait at the entrance gate to the parks
Just as easy to stand up front then to be behind the long line to enter

Check the uo website for early park entry dates
I have that link in the sticky FAQ

Thanks! No we can’t change our dates. We get in Friday then head to the Bahamas Tuesday. Monday we’re doing Disney. We’ll plan to get to the park at least an hour before it opens!! I hope 🤞🏼 it’s manageable!

Just so you know they only have three hotels that include the express pass (just want to make sure you are staying at one that does indeed include it) Hard Rock, Portofino or Royal Pacific.
Universal seems to be the one getting the early entry lately so that's probably what you'll have.
For the new ride they haven't opened the Express lines yet and no one is sure when that'll happen. I read that the ride is now opening at 12pm so it might still be doing that when you get there and it would negate you getting to the park early to ride.

Yes we’re staying at Portofino. I did see that it’s Universal with early entry right now. That stinks if it opens at noon then I would assume longer lines bc people will start lining up way earlier as opposed to just when park opens!
