Hi all!
Facing the masses over President's week and looking for any tips, tricks and strategies for touring IOA... Help and guidance needed! Thank you!!

be at the park gate before it opens.
if you are doing parry hotter, go there first.

crowds are lower there in the morning and in the last 90 minutes the park is open.

do the 3 rides in that section, check out the store fronts, get the schedule for the singing and skit that is held in the PH section.

work yourself from the back to the front of the park.

you only said you were doing IOA, correct?

eat at off times to avoid lines.

if you shop, have the store clerk send your packages to the front store to be held for you.
you will be given a claim stub to present for picking up your packages.
this way, you will not have issues carrying around bags during the day.

there are some things in potterland that you won't find in the front merch store in the park.
if you see something you must have, buy it then. have it sent to the front to be held for you.

use single rider lines as much as possible.
yes, do this also for FJ. your wait is decreased tremendously.

you can't carry on a conversation while on most of the rides as it is.
shouldn't be a problem not sitting side by side on some of the rides.

check the refurbishment thread/sticky in this forum to see what rides will be down when you are there.

read up on the trip reports, and threads in the main forum to get an idea of some of the questions and answers other newbies have asked.
some have more detailed infor in them.

have a fun day at the Darkside...!!!

don't forget to buy your butterbeer.
frozen is what i prefer.

wait, if you have the AAA card, show it everywhere you buy food or merch.
you will receive 10% discount on your purchase.

Tell me about Butterbeer? Sounds gross,:headache: but I don't know what's in it... Is HP the only place with no 'express' entrance?? Where to eat for a 'good' CS lunch?? ANY and ALL tips WELCOME!!:cheer2:
Love you Dis-ers!!:flower3:

Hmm. I don't know what you mean by "HP". The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (WWoHP) is equivalent to a land at WDW, and contains multiple rides. The main ride and big draw is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (FJ), which does not accept the Express pass. The Ollivander's Wand Shop is another attraction in WWoHP which does not accept Express. The other two attractions within WWoHP are Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff and do accept Express.

Outside of WWoHP, the only other two attractions which do not accept Express are Pteranadon Flyers (also at Islands of Adventure) and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (next door at Universal Studios--a separate park).

Butterbeer tastes like cream soda...frozen is better but it's very sweet. I couldn't drink a whole mug of it.

Well, of course I knew you meant Harry Potter. I just didn't know if you were talking about the one ride or the entire area. That's why I went into such excruciating detail. That way I knew answer you wanted was in there somewhere. ;)

I don't do cream sodas, but DW loves the frozen butterbeer and agrees it's like that.

We're at Poly 2/17 for a weekend. Pixie dust upgrade from POR since the Royal Guest Rooms there got delayed and Disney took pity.
