we've been planning a DLR trip for almost 2 yrs. now & will be going in Oct. we had 2 free round trips on SW that expire Oct. 28 so we had a limit on when we could book. i originally booked the plane tix for oct. 3-11 (going to spend one night in vegas on the way home )

a few weeks after booking, i found out my 15 yr. class reunion was going to be held oct. 3-5. wasn't going to go but was offered the chance to do the photos (i'm a professional photographer) so i decided i couldn't turn down the $ ;) plus i kind of wanted to go anyway and i'm on the reunion committee. so i rebooked out trip for oct. 10-18.

well i booked our hotels sat. & just realized today that our church's centennial celebration (we're on that committee too) is oct. 12  i TOTALLY forgot! :scared1: since i booked with hotwire, i figured we were stuck, but i called them & explained & since i've done so much business with them they agreed to allow me to change my ressies. :cool1: i couldn't BELIEVE it!!! :thanks:

i was able to rebook everything for oct. 17-25 at NO EXTRA CHARGE

now we're so close to the expiration of the free flight vouchers & hotwire is set in stone that this trip can't be changed again. :yay: :yay: :yay: finally we are going & know when we're going!!!

has anybody stayed at the holiday inn & suites? i've only ever stayed at the anabella before but their rates were too high this time.

we're planning on doing a tour of LA, whale watching out of dana point, & four days at DLR before going to vegas.

i already heard about the CHOC walk so i think we will avoid that day but does anyone else have any tips???? THANKS!!! :goodvibes

I stayed at Holiday Inn in 2006. The stay was enjoyable. The pool area was nice although we didn't swim. The shuttle service was very convenient, although we had to wait around a couple times. Everyone was nice. Our room was on the second or third floor and opened to the outide but there are keycard gates in order to access the property with the exception of going through the lobby. Nothing special but no complaints!

I think the CHOC walk is a charity walk for a childrens hospital and it is Oct 19th? Not 100 percent sure.

Seems like I read that on another thread.

that's what i read too so i looked it up & the official website said 15-16000 walkers allowed in the parks early. no thanks. i want no part of that kind of crowd. :scared1: we'll do something else that day.:cheer2:

We will be in Legoland that day, I was second guessing my choice of days for Legoland until I heard of the CHOC walk, now I am sure I made the right decision.

Since you are a pro.... You have to post some of your best photos when you get back!:thumbsup2
