Hi there...Not sure if this is the right spot for this question or not, so please bear with me. My husband and I are planning a DW vacation in october, and we are planning on renting DVC points so we can stay in a Villa. The problem is that we are in the middle of the adoption process and can get a child at any time. The agency told us we would probably only get a weeks notice of getting the baby. If we do get a baby, I have no desire to take an infant (as a brand new mom) to Disney World. I would therefore have to cancel the trip. Can anyone tell me which trip insurance to look into, and if you know if a situation like this would be covered. I have never had trip insurance on any vacation, so I am not sure who is a reputable company. If anyone could come up with a better idea to I am all mouse ears :) I already have the park tickets, so that isn't an issue, and my husband and I have no desire to do the dining plan. We were planning on renting points because it is WAY cheaper than the average $6,000 2 week hotel stay at Boardwalk. ( We haven't stayed at this hotel yet, and we really like the area) Any thoughts or help would be so much appreciated! :)

1. As a general rule trip insurance is sold along with a package which includes transportation and lodging.

2. Read the policy for what is or is not covered.

3. Do a search and ask the specific questions you need. Tell them basically that you are looking for coverage only related to your lodging rental costs, which would be non-refundable (explain why), and what you are worried about.

4. Come up with detailed specifications and do everything with the companies in writing.

5. Make sure, both is correspondence and (more important) the policy itself that your needs are covered.

Thank you so very much with this...Like I said, we have a very specific issue, and never having needed insurance before, I had no idea what to ask. This makes me feel a little more confident! :worship:

Check out Travel Guard on line or call and ask questions. We did not do a package deal last year, & I refused to go without insurance in the world today. Too many things can go wrong. My TA said we didn't qualify, but I called for help and the CSR was very helpful. They covered our flight and hotel costs for a very cheap price.

Thanks so much for the reference. I will be sure to check them out! :worship:
