We usually get trip insurance thru Disney. It is close to $80 per person, is there is cheaper option out there? Half our trip this time will be at Universal so I would probably not be insured for any of that at all.

Credit card companies (especially american express) generally offer something. I personally get it from my home owner insurance company (which has some travel coverage, I just extend it). that's the best deal I've found so far.

For cruises (but I wouldn't hesitate to use them for wdw) I use insure my trip dot com. I think Thr policy I buy is from Travel Insured. On a $4,000 fare it was only about $72 (kids are covered free). The insurance Disney Cruise offers is about five times as expensive and the coverages are lower although you do get 75% back if you cancel for any reason. For me the value isn't there. Just make sure you understand the differences.
