trip insurance and weather question

If there was a hurricane coming, and it was going to affect where you were cruising, could you cancel the trip and use trip insurance to cover the cost of airfares and the cruise itself?

I think you would only be able to file a claim with the issurance if the storm prevented you from getting to the boat.
