Searching for a short vacation this yr. Starting now, so i may actually get somewhere. Got DCL booked for next yr(2011). So I'm looking for East Coast based places, or good starting points to search for deals.

Toying with so far:
Nashville
Tangiers Island, MD
Nascar race package

I'm bored and its cold. Does not need a specific time frame, we're open to any time of yr. We get to the beach often because my parents and sister live in Rehoboth Beach DE

So where do you think we(DH and I) should go?

We went to Skyline Drive in May 2008 and it was very nice. We stayed in one of the lodges right on the drive. It is simple but clean and the food in the dining room is delicious. The park is not as crowded as in the fall. We like to hike the trails and it was very nice.

Or if you like baseball, you could go to Cooperstown, NY and also visit wineries in the Finger Lakes region.

DH doesn't drink so wineries are not really an option. No point if you can't taste. And I don't really do baseball.
