I am totally clueless about US or IOA. Will be going for 2-3 days next trip to WDW. Where is the best place to get started. At this point I don't even know whats at each one or are they attached. Are there any books similiar to unofficial guides or anything? Of course I will be dilegently reading these boards for all the inside scoop.

You didn't say whether or not you were bringing kids...or if you will be traveling with just adults, etc.

Although I've never been to either, we are going to IOA this summer. We took our first trip to WDW last summer.

Anyway, we choose IOA over US because of the rides. We have three boys, 8, 10 and 11 and they all want to ride rollercoasters and get wet.

From what I've read, US is more movie-themed. I had several people recommend IOA for my family.

We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel so we can use front of the line priviledges....works like fastpass at Disney except you don't have a ticket - you use your room card to get to the front of the line.

I don't know of any books out there but I'm sure SOMEONE does!

Don't touch that dial.

I check every day for information for my upcoming trip in September and I thought I knew a lot having been a multiple time visitor. I learn something new every day. I love this site.

If you are looking for a wonderful book about Universal Studios Escape you should get Kelly Monaghan's book "Universal Studios Escape The Ultimate Guide to the Ultimate Theme Park Adventure." It is very informative and gives detailed info about all aspects of Universal including planning info, ratings on all the rides, restaurant and hotel info. When I decided to go to Universal, I bought several books, but none that compare. You can buy the book direct from Kelly's website. I don't know the URL but I'm sure someone can help you.

The website for kelly's info is www.theotherorlando.com.

This book is priceless for those who have been the parks or who have not. I was amazed at how much I MISSED after reading it! It's also very entertaining!

No, I am NOT getting paid for this endorsement...

Count me as another, unpaid endorser for Kellys' book

IT IS AWESOME! And you can even check and see if your library has it. Ours did.

He's a great author

thnaks for all the help/ This sounds like exactly what I was looking for.
