which is the most accurate i get quite a difference in price when i use AAA compared to gas buddy have anyone found one to be more accurate than others when using a trip cost gas calculator
I've noticed the difference in prices too. However, when I use gas buddy it shows that my vehicle gets 19 mpg city and 21 mpg hwy. That's quite acurate. Now, when I calculate out the mpg AAA is giving me (it doesn't give you that info, you have to divide miles by gallons of gas estimated), they are giving me a price based on 17 mpg! That's a pretty sizable difference in mpg. Equating to 20 more gallons or about $80!
Gasbuddy takes me a slightly different route than AAA does as well. Try to figure out your route and take the average price of fuel right now multiplied by the gallons you'll need. Add a little cushion to that and you'll have your number. Prices are continuing to drop, so hopefully you'll se a difference when you do travel.
I also just found on www.i95exitguide.com that they have a listing of gas prices off of 95. So when you get to 95 you can at least have an idea of what the prices will be at that point.
