I always do this, worry about the weather being bad, rain, hurricanes, etc... :worried:

Here in NJ, it has been raining EVERYDAY, it seems like its forever since I've seen the sun!

I know it will be ok, (knocking on wood) the last 2 years I've gone the last week in October and it has always been beautiful! :sunny:

I'm in NJ too. We're leaving Thursday morning - 9:20 flight from EWR. I'll be happy to get away from the chilly damp weather. Even if it does rain in WDW, it will definitely be warmer - and being on vacation is still, being on vacation! I am SOOO looking forward to this trip!

I was just there we did need our ponchos everyday but the rain was not constant and it was fine. One day was wetter than the rest but we faired well.

Just buy your ponchos at home and take them with you.

It rained everyday I was there in August for a little while everyday. With the exception of 2 torrential downpours of about an hour, never even got in my way.

As has been said, a rainy day at Disney World, beats a sunny day anywhere else.

It was very nice when we went last October. Just be prepared with your ponchos and umbrellas, and shoes that can get wet. I like when it rains at Disney! All the yahoos scramble for cover, while we happily stroll along the now uncrowded streets with our umbrella. When it does pour, just give it about 15-20 mins...it usually lets up.

We leave from upstate NY on Sat (10/15) ant the weather channel web pages 10 day forcast has suns everyday.

We are in NJ also and we leave tomorrow morning!!!! woo-hoo :Pinkbounc

Not worried about the weather, can't control it, can't worry about it. Whatever happens, it will be much better than sitting behind this desk in NJ..... :goodvibes

You guys are all right!! Who cares if it rains, I will be on vacaton in DIsney, thats all that matters!!! :sunny: :sunny:

Great excuse not to worry about your hair! Between the Kali Rapids, Splash Mountain, and getting misted in all the theaters you're going to get wet anyway. Pack the ponchos and don't worry! :umbrella:

We're about to enter the dry season down here, so don't worry too much!

Worry is wasted energy. Don't worry about things out of your control, and the weather is that. If you plan well, for rain or shine... all will be ok. ENJOY your trip :umbrella: or :sunny:

Well-I would just plan on a "chance" of rain daily. The long-range forecasts are completely useless, and the daily ones not much better. We just got back (10/1 to 10/8) and the daily (local) weather forecasts we watched had WDW buried in rain all week. The first day we changed our plans (based on a forecast that had up to 3" of rain) and went shopping instead of going to Epcot. Well-it showered a bit once in awhile, but other than that, we wasted an entire day we COULD have done at Epcot. After that, we paid no attention to the forecasts and just did what we had planned to do anyway. It showered off and on (mostly off) the whole week, but we didn't miss a swim, mini golf game, or a day at any park.

It's not so much the chance of rain that bothers me, it is the chance of having a parade or show canceled do to inclement weather. We have a few newbies this year and I want to make sure they see everything. Plus I couldn't imagine MNSSHP in the rain??? :(

I know it will be fine!!!

Ok, some of you floridians said "we are enetering the dry season"

The 10 day forecast shows rain :( I know I know, dont worry and dont listen to the forecast...

Be happy, I will be in WDW~~ YAY! :hyper:

The weather here "broke" on Saturday. Just gorgeous, lower humidity and temps in the 80s. There is a tropical system south of Cuba that bears watching however. If it does affect Florida it wouldn't be until about a week or so from now. And it may not affect us at all. And even then, I'd only keep an eye on it for flight purposes. A hurricane wouldn't stop me from heading to WDW....they did really well last year with all three storms.

We just came back from being there Oct 7-11 and right before we left I went out and got 6 rain ponchos for our group. We all carried them everday in the parks and never used them once. We watched the weather from our room at night and there always was a big rain cloud in the pictures so we were prepared, but we really didnt care, we were just so happy to be at Disney!! There was 2 days there was a light drizzle for a few minutes , but it was a welcome relief after it was 90 and humid everyday.

The forecast for today is 86 degrees with low humidity and an overnight low of 63 degrees. It has been beautiful the last few days. Perfect weather.

There is a tropical system brewing that could produce hurricane Wilma within a couple of days. It is to early to predict a path.
