So, I so sadly had to do the responsible thing and cancel my upcoming trip due to some unexpected financial things - I'm heartbroken, but it is what it is.

Anyhoo, I purchased 6 day hoppers from Undercovertourist several months ago prior to the price increase - if I do not use them, do they ever expire?

I'm thinking that although they will refund them with a small fee, since I paid such a low price for them, I may want to hold onto them realizing that we will be going in the next year or two.

I looked on several sites but couldn't find a definitive answer - so thanks in advance to all those expert Disers out there!

1- Nope.
2- Sounds good.

Sorry that you had to cancel your trip, but at least it gives you something to look forward to!

And, if you can stay even longer on an upcoming trip, you will be able to
upgrade your current tickets, and still keep your discount savings in the process,
if you will use your tickets at least one time before you do the upgrade.

Thanks Robo, that's what I thought, but just wanted to make sure. That's the way I'm looking at it too - plus, by the time we go, we will get to see all of the FLE stuff for sure and maybe even the Mine Train :flower3:

The other good thing is that you already have your tickets, so paying for the next trip won't be quite so hard.

OK, I'm a silver-lining kind of gal. :)

Yep!

And also, although people get gunshy about buying from a non authorized seller, since you havent used them, they are still sellable if you would have to go that way.

1. Unused MYW tickets do not expire until 14 days after date of first use.

2. Special tickets (convention, Sports, YES program) will have either a "not valid before" or a "not valid after" date printed on them are not MYW tickets and will expire. UCT only sells MYW tickets.

3. UCT will refund what you have paid (less a small restocking fee) only if the plastic envelope they are in has not been opened.

4. Put the tickets in a safe place so you will not lose them, and plan to use them on your next trip.

Thanks so much! Yes, I am going to go with option 4 - I know for sure we will go in the next couple of years so it makes good sense to just hang on to them since they were a great deal and prices continue to go up, up, up!

It will be very nice to have the tickets already paid for and we have a credit on account for the airfare since they were non-refundable tickets - I just have to book before one year from now - so, it will all be fine!

Might make sure that you don't have to "use" your airfare before next year, SW has a rule that you have to "use" your tickets within the year not just book them (this is a rule that has changed within the last year)

Don't want you to not have that "credit" and be surprised.;)

Yes, I double and triple checked - this is with Jetblue and as long as it is booked within a year, it's fine. You are absolutely right though - that would not be a good surprise!

We are actually already thinking of taking a short trip to NYC next summer with part of the credit. I think we will hold off on a WDW trip until the Mine Train is complete, then we can actually see the whole thing without the walls and definitely get to try out BOG.
