Hey everyone. First I will introduce you to the players:

Amie (Me): I am 28 and am a SAHM to our daughter. Before that I worked for a major insurance company doing a job I enjoyed for a company I hated. My favorite color is blue and I of course love all things Disney!

Jeremy (DH): He is 32 and works full time as a Senior Underwriter for a huge insurance company. He loves working in the yard and watching TV. His favorite Disney character is Goofy.

Chaeli (DD): She is 17 months and is the light of our lives. She loves books and baths. I think Disney is in her genetics because when she was 14 or 15 months old I had a Mickey shirt on and she pointed to him and said "Mickey".

We are planning this trip for September 25th through October 5th, 2009. EDITED: I can't add days right! LOL This is will be Chaeli's first trip (other then in the womb) and we will be there for her 2nd birthday (9/27). We are planning on going with DH's Mom, Step-Father and his sister's 2 kids. We are planning to either stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, or the Family Suites at All Star Movies. I am also looking into all the special touches for Chaeli's first trip.

I have starting picking out some custom outfits, her carry on bag, hair bows, and special items for on the plan. I have also been starting to worry about taking her on her first plane trip and have been talking to other seasoned traveling mom's.

So I guess those are quick details. I will post most retails in other posts. Thanks for sharing this special event with me!

So here starts the details posts. I want to get some custom made Disney outfits for Chaeli for the trip. I have found lots of cute ones on Etsy. Here are a few:

This one is ordered and I just need to pay for it when our tax return comes in:

Here are ones that I want to order:

My Mom and I plan to recreate this skirt/outfit because this seller is selling anymore and I really love this skirt!

Now I am still debating if I should get Chaeli her own carry one or just get a bigger one for all three of us. I usually carry an LL Bean backpack but I was thinking about getting an actual carry on luggage bag. I know they have Disney luggage sets on sale through The Disney Store but I don't need three more pieces. We do need to get one more big suitcare. We have 2 but I want a third since taking a toddler to Disney requires so much more stuff then just the two of us.

Other details I have been looking at were figuring out what stroller and how we are going to get a toddler, stroller, car seat, carry on and 3 suitcases into the airport. I think have that one solved. We are taking Chaeli's car seat, a Britax Marathon, which we will get that strap thing they sell that makes it so you can put the car seat on like a backpack. DH will wear that, then Chaeli will be in her stroller. We are taking a Maclaren Quest. Going down we will put out little suitcase inside one of the big ones and DH will pull two and carry the car seat and I will one and push Chaeli in her stroller. (Now you get an idea as to how much of a planner I am. LOL:lmao: ) Next up, restaurants we want to check out this trip!:woohoo:

Since we have already been to Disney several times, and used the dining plan a few times, we know there are several restaurants we want to check out. We are hoping that we can book when they have a free dining offer but if not we will definietly be buying it.

Some we have to go to because we love:
Liberty Tree Tavern

Some we want to try:
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop (since we plan on a large group the Kitchen Sink would be good to try)
Tutto Italia Ristorante (we LOVED Alfredo's so we have to try the new place)

I am sure I will add more later, but at the moment I need a nap! I was up till almost 4am reading someone else's trip report. Hey what can I say, I love Disney!!

Hi! Great start to your PTR! The clothes you've picked for your DD are soo cute! Can't wait to hear more about your plans :goodvibes

Okay for some more details.

I have decided that I will do some laundry down there. Can you imagine backing 2-3 outfits per day for a toddler for a 10 day trip?? While she has enough clothes to do that (I know craziness! ) I don't want to be lugging all those clothes around. We don't need to bring 10 pieces of luggage. LOL!!

Today we let the neighbor's know we are planning a trip to WDW since they are the cat sitters (we have two, a Maine Coon named Boo and a calico named Zoe) and they watch the house and water the plants as needed.

Other then that I haven't thought much about planning today. One can only think of Disney and plan so much....right?:confused3

Wanted to add.....UGH it's snowing here again and we are having another major snow storm!!! Can't we just go to Disney??:sad2:

Last night DH and I were talking and we are trying to decide between 4 resorts. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, a cabin at Fort Wilderness or the Family Suite at All Star Music. Right now we are leaning towards a cabin. We would prefer to have a separate bedroom/living area so that we can put DD to bed at night and stay up and watch TV without waking her up.

So does anyone have any suggestions?

Okay I thought it was time for some background on our little family.

DH and I made our first trip together to WDW in June 2003 for our honeymoon. We did 10 days 9 nights and stayed at All Star Movies. It was our first time on site. We flew down and rented a car because we also went to Universal and SeaWorld. I really wanted to go to WDW for our honeymoon and DH did not. We were going to go to Washington DC but then the sniper attacks started and we said no way. Then we thought about the Poconos but it was SUPER expensive, so WDW came up. The price was right and I knew I wanted to go back. (My first trip was with my ex-fiance and he ruined my trip for me.) I guarenteed DH that within 3 days of being there he would want to go back. He didn't believe me, but I did prove him wrong! LOL We weren't even there 24 hours and he was already talking about a return trip. We lived up our honeymoon. We did get the bride and groom ears and got so many nice things because of it. Heck they let us get our own log in Splash Mountain even though the line was super long. It was a trip to remember forever.

In April 2004 we bought our house so we didn't have the funds to go to WDW that year. We both couldn't wait to go back but knew it wasn't smart to spend that kind of money on a trip when we had so much to do for the house.

In Feb 2005 we had a miscarriage. We found out a week after we booked our May 2005 trip. We didn't even know that we had gotten pregnant even though we were trying. After the loss we decided to just go to WDW and enjoy ourselves. We stayed at Caribbean Beach. It was quiet and gorgeous and we even watched the sunset one night while laying on the hammocks. Very relaxing. We did another 10 days 9 nights. We didn't rent a car this time and decided to stay on WDW property the whole time since we didn't have any need to leave the the world. We left looking forward to having a baby and bringing that baby to WDW.

In August 2005 we had another miscarriage. It was a very hard and trying time in our marriage but we bonded and made it through that difficult time. We moved on and tried again. We got pregnant and lost our third baby in May 2006. We were burnt out. We started infertility testing but also decided that another trip to WDW was in order. So we went September 2006 and stayed at Pop Century. It was just what we needed. We booked during free dining and we ate our way around the world! The food was yummy!! We stayed another 10 days 9 nights. We again didn't rent a car.

In January 2007 we decided to book another trip to WDW for May 2007. We booked Port Orleans Riverside for another 10 days 9 nights. This turned out to be the best trip of all. We got pregnant in January 2007 with our daughter and carried her to term. We found out on a Wed afternoon she was a girl and we left Friday morning for WDW! We spent so much money on her and she wasn't even born yet. It was here that we changed the theme of her nursery from farm animals to Pooh Bear. DH even picked out and bought a piece of artwork from The Art of Disney for the price of $400 that hangs in her room. Our suitcase was bursting with all the goodies she got. It was on Pirates of the Caribbean that I first felt her kick from the outside and we determined that she loves Disney!! To this day she stops in her tracks when she hears Disney music or sees Mickey. We cannot wait to take her for her first trip outside of the womb. The details haven't been planned but this will for sure be one amazing trip!

So we recently had a big change here at home that may change things for us in Disney. DD figured out how to climb out of her crib so we moved her to a toddler bed. Now you ask, how would this make changes, well....we don't know if we want her in her own big bed in a seperate room from us to sleep in a hotel that isn't baby proofed or toddler proofed. So we might change our plans to just do a standard room with two beds so that we are all in the same room. Might save some money too which would me more to spend on DD.
