Hi all - the board has been very helpful, and I am hopeful I can call in one more request ;)

We are all booked to be in Disney on the 4-7..sort of a long weekend. My question is twofold - what tickets does everyone recommend we get (it will be the only trip we make to Disney this year). What are the "must sees", considering its my first time there since I was, oh, 10, and our son's first time ever (he is 9)? And lastly - food. We are staying at a condo offsite, just 1.5 miles away from the main gate, so I figure we'll be at the park for at least 1 if not 2 meals (lunch, dinner) - any suggestions on where to eat, and how to go about arranging reservations, or vouchers, etc?

Is it just me, or does it almost seem like they have TOO many options in terms of all this stuff!

Looking forward to being there, and thanks in advance for your assistance

There are a ton of things to do at Disney. I would suggest getting at least a three day park hopper. This would allow you to visit more than one park a day if needed. It is impossible to see everything in three days. I suggest doing as much at the MK as possible and Epcot and then do the safari, Kali River Rapids, The Lion King stage show, and Dinosaur at AK. At MGM, do TOT and RNRC, and anything else that may be of interest. Your son would probably like the new car stunt show. Make sure that you stay in the evenings to see Wishes at MK (the fireworks show) and Fantasmic at MGM. As far as food goes...you may want to plan one big restaurant meal and then have counter service for the rest of your meals, because meals are expensive. My son, my brother, his fiancee, and I share a turkey leg for lunch sometimes (only $5) and we also like El Pirata near POTC...they have tacos, taco salad, etc. We also eat at the pavilion in between Tomorrowland and Main Street. They sell Asian type dishes (chicken teriyaki, noodles, etc). Cinderella's Royal Table is also nice as well as Liberty Tree Tavern (character meal). At Epcot, we like the Electric Umbrella (for counter service) and just about any of the countries for a big meal. We do not have a favorite at MGM. We stick to counter service meals near TOT. At Animal Kingdom, Restaurantosaurus is a favorite for my son (they sell McDonald's) and any of the counter service places are great there.

I think I may have easily complicated things more for you. It's just that there is so much to do!!! Have fun making your decisions. Make sure to check out the Disney World website at disneyworld.com. It may make your decisions a little easier.

Here's my couple O' pennies worth.....buy a book on Disney. The Passporter, the Official Guide to Disney or the Unofficial Guide to Disney, to name a few. Read about the attractions. Get an idea of what all of you would like to do. Make a list of the Must Do's, Do's or Don't Do's. If you have any questions while reading. Drop the attraction into the Disboard search and you will probably get a bunch of great suggestions.

Have a magical day,
Anna
