Trip as Birthday Gift?

My DS turns 5 next week and I have no idea what to get him. We have a trip to WDW booked for October that he doesn't know about. I was thinking of starting a Disney countdown chain and filling a backpack with Disney goodies and giving him a 'trip to Disney World' as a present.

My biggest concern is that October 10 is still 3 months away and that is too long for a five year old to wait. What do you think? Good idea or bad idea? Any other suggestions?

get him a book. or a pair of socks. or an empty box -- anything. hes 5 -- he won't understand a trip to Disney in 3 months.

What about some Disney movies (if theres any you don't have)? Then he'll know who all the characters are when you go.
