Trip announcement letters from the Disney Store

I have been doing some google searching (procrastinating!) and came across an interesting post on the trip advisor message boards about something I haven't seen mentioned on here before.
Apparently, if you send an email to the Disney Store via their 'contact us' button on the website, stating your child's name and when you are going to DLP, they will (promptly and by recorded delivery!) send you an envelope with a certificate in accounting your trip! Some people have mentioned their child's birthday and received small gifts/mystery gold envelopes!

Some of the Disney Stores used to have the certificates, the Cambridge store used to have them until it closed. I did not know they would send them out online.

The newly themed Imagination Disney Stores put on a celebration if you tell them your child is going to DLP. They do this at the Oxford Street and Milton Keynes stores.

I don't think they do the trip announcements anymore in store, it was just a promotional thing with Mickey himself announcing it a few years back?
They do put your child (or adult's!) name on the interactive board and you'll get a card if it's your birthday though It's brilliant fun!!

I sent an email as soon as I read this and we've been sent 3 lovely trip announcement certificates today....complete with Mickey confetti, all in individual envelopes from Mickey

Our 3 girls were giddy with excitement - a really, really nice thing from Disney!
