Trip #8; But Was It Great? A WDW MAYcation with a side of LegoLand & Celebration, FL!

We sat at the table right behind you last year. We had lunch there. I don't remember it very well except that they had Coke in the glass bottles.
Nothing wrong with sitting right away! I 'd take the crowded table over waiting longer when you're exhausted and hungry anyday!!!:thumbsup2

It feels like WDW in August here today. It's about 95 degrees. It barely hit 70 yesterday so today is a shock to my system even though I love summer. I think most of the country is experiencing a heat wave so you're probably just as hot I guess.
Today was my kids' last day of school Yay :cool1:

Yeah, we weren't in any position to be picky about our seat that evening!! :rotfl: It all worked out okay and we had a decent dinner. It's just not a place that I plan on going back to time and time again.

It is HOT here today. :faint: We are approaching the mid 90's again today and will be again tomorrow. It's been warmer here than at WDW this week! :upsidedow

YAY for the last day of school!!! :cool1:

I bet a nap felt nice after your long day!

Beaches and Cream looks fun. Crowded and busy but still fun. Your food looks great! :thumbsup2

"Butt in face" for dinner! :rotfl2: I hate it when that happens! When we were at La Hacienda last year, we were seated right by the window and when the fireworks started two little boys came up and gave us "butt in the face" for dessert! :rolleyes2 So annoying. I hate being seated on an isle too where people are constantly walking by. I guess I want the privacy of eating at home when I eat out. :snooty: Not very realistic.

Your food looked good though. Those sundaes were too cute! I could use one of those right now.

It's too bad the deluxes don't have food courts like the values and mods. I really like that option. I suppose cafeteria style eating doesn't fit the deluxe theme though. I guess I value function over form though because I think the food courts work really well.

That "butt in face" comment was too funny!:rotfl: I remember how crowded B&C was on our trip in February. It was not even a busy time in WDW, but B&C was packed! We enjoyed our meal there.

Well, school was finally out for students yesterday (DD10 is psyched!), but I have to work over the summer quite a bit since I am moving schools. It is 98 degrees here right now...so it's a great first day of summer for the kids at the beach! It was great, my older DD's walked my youngest DD to the beach today, since it's at the end of our street. :beach: It was SO hot working today.

It sure did! :goodvibes

B&C is a fun place! Just too small! :upsidedow

I know what you mean, I like to be seated at just the right table when we eat out. Too bad it rarely works out that way. :rotfl:

Those sundaes were so cute! I should make them at home for the kids sometime! ::yes::

I agree, the deluxes really should have better/more CS choices. We really miss the food courts when we stay at a deluxe!

I know, leave it to DS13!! :rotfl:

I think B&C is always crowded!! :scared1: Every time we went in there for ice cream or even walked by the place it was completely full.

Yay for school being out!! :cheer2: Too bad you have to work this summer. That is a bummer. How fun for the girls to walk to the beach today!!

My DH and I went to Beaches &Cream on one of our adults only trips and loved it. Since it was just the two of us the small tables were fine and my DH loves nothing more in this world more than ice cream!
There is nowhere better to take a nap than in Disney! Especially waking up to a new, fun plan.

Okay, let's get this day finished up!! I have been posting about this same day for weeks. :faint:

After dinner at Beaches & Cream we went back to the room and the kids got changed into their swimsuits and got their pool noodles and we headed down to SAB. It was getting close to dark and I was pretty sure the pool slide was going to close at 8pm, but it was about 8 when we got down there and it was still open! It ended up staying open for the next hour that we were there.

The pool wasn't too crowded or loud. No pool games going on, so that was nice!!

The kids swam for almost an hour. DH just lounged on a chair and I messed around with DS13's Ipod Touch and somehow ended up Facetiming with Jodi! It was so cool! But it didn't last too long until it froze up. The internet connection at the pool was spotty and slow.

When the kids were done swimming DH took them up to get changed into dry clothes. I told them I was going to get some ice cream at B&C To Go and for them to meet me on the beach for IllumiNations. I headed over to B&C and got a hot fudge sundae! And then went out to the beach. IllumiNations started right as I got there.

About half way through IllumiNations the family joined me! We watched the rest and then the kids played in the sand for a bit and DH & I just sat and enjoyed our surroundings.

After that we headed back up to the room, watched some TV, and got ready for bed. That sure was one long day! :faint:

Up Next: Rope Drop at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

That looks like one pretty awesome eveing to me!! :cloud9: How can you beat quiet pool time, ice cream, fireworks and chillin' on the beach with that view!! I am insanely jealous. :snooty: :snooty: :snooty: I knew there would be some good times to come at the BC. ;)

I love SAB at night. It looked pretty empty that must have been nice!:thumbsup2
Hot fudge sundae yum!
Lokked like a great night. We never watched Illuminations from the beach. How was the view?

Y'all had a very busy day and evening! I bet you were tired from all the going and from the heat, too. I see you made rope drop at DHS the next morning, so I guess you got a good night's sleep and recharged your batteries.

Another random question from the random question queen. ;) Did y'all bring the noodles with you or buy them when you got there? Just wondering how they pack in a suitcase. :confused3

It looks like a nice evening at SAB. I think you have said that it was the only time it wasn't crowded. So I bet you're really glad y'all had the quiet time to swim.

How fun to watch Illuminations from the beach! Add in a hot fudge sundae and it's :cloud9:

I swear, you sure know how to enjoy a Disney vacarion to the fullest! :thumbsup2

It does feel so nice to get back to your WDW room and rest after a long hot day!!

SAB at night was great!! :cloud9: Nobody screaming into a microphone or anything!! :rotfl:

The view of IllumiNations was okay. Not great for sure, but it was fun!

It really was a very busy and very long day. :faint:

Random Question Queen :rotfl2:

We got in on the DIS YC/BC Noodle Swap. It's a great thing! No one had them right before us, so we just picked them up from Bell Services. And then we were scheduled to give them to the next family later in the week, so we met up with them at the pool and handed them off!

It was a great evening at the pool. The only time is wasn't loud & crazy. I'm glad we decided to go that night!

IllumiNations and ice cream. :cloud9: Not too much beats that. Well, maybe Wishes and a Dole Whip!! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

What a long day! You guys did SO much! I'm sure everyone slept well that night. :goodvibes

We all slept great that night!! ::yes::

awe :( I'm so sorry 'butt in face' was on the menu that night but I have to say that comment made me :lmao:!! Quite the sense of humor your son has. LOL

The rest of your evening sounded so nice too!!! A calm pool swim and firewoks on the beach! Sounds absolutely glorious right now. I'm really missing the nice evening weather in Florida so hearing that made me long for it even more. We are LUCKY if we get sun these days - darn rain!!!

Awww what a perfect ending that night was! How special! And I'm not just talking about us talking. ;)

I bet the boys thought the water was wonderfully relaxing after that long hot day. And thank goodness no loud obnoxious microphone blasters.

The fireworks and ice cream..... Sigh. Nothing better.

Well maybe a Dole Whip and Wishes, yes. ::yes::

Can't wait to read what happens next! :)

Noodle Swap! I have heard it all! :rotfl: See, if I hadn't asked my random question, I would never have learned of this. Now that is a great idea. :thumbsup2

The stuff you learn on here! :disrocks:

Ending your night with a hot fudge sundae and fireworks is my dream! :goodvibes

It was pretty cool! :thumbsup2

What a great way to end your day!

It really was! :goodvibes

Yeah I had never read a review of 'butt in face', but I have to tell ya -- it wasn't all that good. :scared1::lmao:

It was a really nice evening. It had cooled down so much and it felt so nice after that extremely hot day. I just love Florida evenings too. :cloud9:

Sorry you are getting so much rain. That's such a bummer. :sad2:
