Tried to Book Thru AAA ...

I went to AAA's website and filled out the info needed to get a quote for our trip next January. After a couple weeks I finally got an e-mail back from them saying Disney hasn't posted the rates for 2007 yet and to check back in SEPTEMBER! Gosh, I wanted to reserve a package before then ... now I'm leery of using AAA, and wonder if I should book a package myself and cross my fingers for Disney to run another special like they did for this past January. Disney's price turned out to be several bucks lower than AAA's anyway. What'cha think?

I too am looking for 1/1-9/07. I called AAA and they told me to check back in May/June as did Magical Journeys. WDW told me the 2007 rates should be out in June at the latest. Currently you can book room only by calling WDW direct. What kind of January deal did you get???? We were there in Dec/Jan and paid peak holiday, I am curious what I can maybe hope to get in January.

Mamacatnv: Some time around September or so Disney offered a special for the value season, beginning January 1 thru mid-February on a package that included room and hopper plus tickets. We had already booked a room-only reservation thru Magical Journeys which gave us 20% off POFQ. After we included the cost for hopper passes, Disney's price for a package matched that and was even $44 less. So we cancelled our room-only reservation and got the package in order to include the dining plan. I'm really hoping for a similar special, as we are planning to go to AKL January 1 thru 7.

My AAA agent told me that I could come in today and pay for one night and that would hold my room for the time period I wanted. Then when prices come out in June or July I will be offered a package. I can accept the package and put more money down to equal the $200 deposit or I can reject the package and get my money back.
