Tried to book online for future reservation but....

I figured I would just submit my villa request for early Dec online, rather than calling MS. So, put in my request...standard one bedroom at BWV, second choice standard studio..for Nov 30-Dec 4. I wait, and wait to hear. This was on Friday. So, today I get an email from DVC telling me that they can't complete my request...why? Seems I own at SSR and want to book BWV. Have to wait until April 30 to do that. Ah, no. I called MS directly and explained my dilemna. I asked if I had won a prize and now owned at SSR as well as BWV. The CM just laughed at me, and said she couldn't understand how such a thing had happened.
Of course, no standard studios to be had. But, I was able to snag one of two remaining standard one bedroom units.
I just can't figure out where the glitch happened. Guess I had best stick to doing things in person. Doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy about the online checkin starting up now.

Ah, there is no online booking - just e-mail requests, which is what you had. That is different from online check in, which is a web-based process, not an e-mail request.

We had absolutely no problem using the online request form.Everything went just as it should and we heard back in a timely manner. That being said I would never use it for anything time sensitive or complicated. Glad to hear you were able to get the 1BR.

I completely understand what it is...I've used it in the past with great success. It isn't truly a request....it is the first step in booking my reservation. There is no difference in making a reservation via an email/online source and talking to a MS CM directly. That would be why they have you check off that little box that allows them to borrow points if needed.
Just posting to that others can be sure to double check when they make that submission and get an email back. That's all.
